Solo Leveling as the Anime of the Year
With a great competition against DAN DA DAN, Delicious in Dungeon, Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, Kaiju No.8, and The Apothecary Diaries, Solo Leveling took home the biggest award of the ceremony: the Anime of the Year. The action anime also won the awards for Best Score, Best Main Character, Best Action, Best Ending Sequence, Best New Series, and Best Anime Voice Artist Performance in Brazilian Portuguese, Castilian Spanish, and English.
At the time of publishing this article, Solo Leveling had not been officially renewed for a third season. However, fans are confident it’s only a matter of time, given the show’s massive success and the cliffhanger ending that strongly hints at more to come. Many believe the new season is coming in late 2026 or early 2027. Solo Leveling's success reflects the choice for the Anime of the Year award.
This year, Solo Leveling became Crunchyroll’s most-rated anime, surpassing One Piece and Demon Slayer. The anime boasts 622,000 ratings on Crunchyroll, with 97% of them being 5-star ratings. At the beginning of 2025, a live-action show was also announced, but there is still no official release date.
