The 2025 Anime Expo just wrapped up, and some of the best and most anticipated anime out there got big announcements. However, one anime announcement stood out amongst many, and that was an official release window for Jujutsu Kaisen season three.
Jujutsu Kaisen announces season 3 release window for 2026
The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen, which featured the Hidden Inventory and Shibuya arcs, wrapped up at the end of 2023. The season was critically acclaimed and heavily loved by fans, meaning season three has quite a bit of anticipation behind it.
Season three is already confirmed to be the Culling Game arc, which will be devastating for fans to watch, but still exciting nonetheless.

Fans have put their trust in MAPPA to do justice to this intense arc, as it features a plethora of battles amongst Jujutsu Sorcerers and Cursed Spirits. The production company is well known for its work, as other anime, such as Vinland Saga and more, have some of the best production known to the anime community.
And let's not forget that fight scene between Gojo and Toji in season two.

Official release date for Jujutsu Kaisen season 3
Unfortunately, there is no official release date for season three of Jujutsu Kaisen. However, we were told that it will be released in 2026 and is officially in production. Hopefully, this means an early 2026 release window as opposed to a late 2026 release window.

Still, next summer will mark three years since season two first began, which is an outlandish amount of time to wait between season openings. Fans are really hoping that the wait for season three is not prolonged much longer.
