Popular actress, Michelle Trachtenberg, was found dead earlier this morning in her apartment due to natural causes.

The popular actress, Michelle Trachtenberg, who was known for her roles in Gossip Girl and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has been found dead at the young age of 39.

Trachtenberg, who was known for her roles in shows and films like Gossip Girl, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Ice Princess, was found dead by her mother earlier today on February 26, 2025 at One Columbus Place. This is a 51-story luxury apartment complex in Manhattan's Central Park South neighborhood.

According to multiple sources, the actress had undergone a liver transplant recently and had died of natural causes.

Trachtenberg was found unconscious and unresponsive.

The New York City Police Department (NYPD) deemed her death to not fall under any suspicious circumstances and will allow a medical examiner to determine the cause.

Trachtenberg was best known for her roles in Gossip Girl and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which were both popular shows that she starred in during her teen years and 20s.

The actress had also made her name well-known after starring in the Disney original, Ice Princess, where Trachtenberg played a young girl looking to become a professional figure skater.

At a very young age, Trachtenberg got her start in Harriet the Spy, where she played a sixth grader who found herself in the espionage business.

Movies like 17 Again, Eurotrip, and more were also a part of Trachtenberg's impressive acting resume.

She was nominated for and won various awards during her life, including a Young Artist Award back in 1997 for her role as Maggie in CBS's Meego.

Trachtenberg will be missed by many, as this is a tragedy within the entertainment world.
