The vibes of Season 5 changed in the direction of provocative emotions and physical connections. The show is blissful for some young hearts and totally harsh for others.
The participants of Single's Inferno Season 5 could have different reasons for joining the show. Earning internet fame is a good motivation for the brave and gorgeous to head to that island. But the cycles of Inferno and Paradise break such reasoning and open up these young people and their true emotions.
In a way, the show is cruel! The girls and the guys are facing their dreams and fears. The fake layers drop off quickly, and they remain with unprotected hearts: ready for love and for bitter hits.
What couples were formed throughout the show? Which of them broke even before the final episode? Who left Single's Inferno Season 5 as a potential real-life match? The answers are in this article: follow the events as they progress throughout the episodes.
Episode 1: "Blind date" pairs to start Single's Inferno Season 5
The beginning of this show is pretty special: we get to know the participants, and they get to know each other. This was the formula in Season 4, and Single’s Inferno follows it again.
In Season 5, the first pairs were formed right at the end of episode 1. When around half of the initial participants introduced themselves, they went for lunch and then were requested to vote for someone they liked at first sight.
Those who received the most votes, a guy and a girl, could choose anyone to go to a Paradise date with — on day 1.
Kim Min-gee chose Woo Sung-min
The girl turned out to be open and easygoing despite her fame as a sports celebrity in real life. Kim Min-gee earned the most votes from the male participants of Single's Inferno Season 5.
She decided to go on a date with Woo Sung-min.
"I like guys who are cute, and he was cute," explained Min-gee. "I also noticed he was proactive in the cafeteria and took care of people."
Kim Jae-jin chose Ham Ye-jin
Jae-jin was somewhat distant from the others, strolling around and not participating in the lunch preparation. That awoke curiosity in girls.
The guy named Ham Ye-jin as his first date on Single's Inferno Season 5.
"I liked how she had a way of making people feel at ease," said Kim Jae-jin. "She was the closest to my ideal type in terms of look."
When leaving Inferno, Ye-jin confessed she also selected Jae-jin.
Episode 2: Postcards and dodgeball pairs
More contestants joined Single's Inferno Season 5 with episode 2. It's an unusual delay, and four people in Paradise missed this fresh wave.
After another series of introductions and a dinner, people on the Inferno island got a mission: to write a postcard to someone they liked.
- Choi Mina Sue received the most postcards, three. Quite interestingly, she sent hers to Song Seung-il, and one of those three was actually from him.
The first physical game of Season 5 was dodgeball. The girls drew plastic balls first, and then the guys did the same. Those with matching colors formed a team.
- Lee Sung-hun was an unlucky one who drew a pink ball: he remained without a partner and out of the game.
The goal was to remain the last team on the dodgeball field. Park Hee-sun and Shin Hyeon-woo did that to receive an iced coffee in Inferno. Still, every team had a short date after the game.
Woo Sung-min and Kim Go-eun
These two had a lovely time away from everyone else. They decided to visit Paradise together.

The background of English communication united Sung-hun and Mina Sue: the guy even has another name, Samuel. Their chat was too friendly for a love sparkle, though.
Episode 3: Four Paradise dates
At the end of the previous episode and at the start of this one, the participant named one person they wanted to go on a date with. If the choices matched, they could leave the island. Four early couples were formed this way in Season 5 of Single's Inferno.
Woo Sung-min and Kim Go-eun
They actually continued their time together after the dodgeball game and the lunch. Kim Go-eun and Woo Sung-min looked relaxed and open.
Lim Su-been and Choi Mina Sue
Choi Mina Sue was suddenly too casual and laid back. Even her pose beamed confidence. Lim Su-been still enjoyed this evening.

Kim Jae-jin and Lee Joo-young
Jae-jin opened himself so differently during this date. There was no awkwardness in conversations. Joo-young freely expressed her interest in this date partner.
Kim Min-gee and Song Seung-il
Min-gee was too surprised to know that Seung-il is five years younger than her. The girl brought too much attention to this moment. Seung-il was cute with how he expressed himself, as he did not mind the age gap.
Episode 4: Photo contest and campfire struggles
This mission was very unusual as for Single’s Inferno: the photo contest happened for the first time in Season 5. The women drew numbered balls and selected their partners in that order. The goal was to play the hottest couple in the world — this obviously meant a lot of physical contact.
Choi Mina Sue got confused with the names of the male participants. Still, she ended up being one with two photoshoot partners.
- Kim Jae-jin and Kim Go-eun won this contest. Their prize was a chance to discover the top three picks of any other person on the island.

Love triangles near a campfire
After this physical challenge, Single’s Inferno pushed the Season 5 participants to an emotional edge.
First, everyone on the show had to give two chocolate hearts: red to those they are interested in and gold to those they are curious about.
Then, the contestants were gathered near a campfire, with drinks and snacks. When they relaxed enough, the organizers launched an extremely provocative “truth game.” Each person drew a question and had to answer.
The questions were about their chocolate hearts, top picks, and next Paradise dates. They created emotional struggles near that campfire. Here are the biggest hits of that evening.
- Kim Jae-jin got two girl admirers. He named Lee Joo-young as his next desired Paradise date and the top pick. In return, she did exactly the same. Park Hee-sun gave him her golden heart.
- Kim Go-eun formed a triangle around herself. She became the top pick of Shin Hyeon-woo. Woo Sung-min gave her his red chocolate heart and named the next Paradise date. From her side, Go-eun gave their chocolate hearts to both these guys but hinted Hyeon-woo as a Paradise date pick: “someone new.”
- Song Seung-il is interested in two girls: Kim Min-gee and Choi Mina Sue. He gave the chocolate to them. Discovering that made Min-gee somewhat aggressive in her desire to win the boy.
- Choi Mina Sue changed her heart a few times, and she was pretty cruel. Lim Su-been named her as his top pick. Then, she selected Woo Sung-min as her Paradise date and Song Seung-il as her top pick. Previously, she named Lee Sung-hun as her top priority.
Episodes 5, 6, and 7: Singles Inferno Season 5
The next portion of reality-show excitement is set for release on Jan. 27. Choi Mina Sue continued her harsh play with the heart of Lim Su-been and flirting with Song Seung-il. Two game changers join Season 5 of Single’s Inferno: a guy and a girl.
Single’s Inferno remains among the top popular shows on Netflix, and we certainly can expect Season 6 coming next. Considering the timing of the previous seasons, it may happen at the start of 2027.
