One Piece movies to leave Netflix in February

These two movies, titled "Episode of Alabasta: The Desert Princess and the Pirates" and "Episode of Chopper: Bloom in the Winter, Miracle Sakura," will be removed from the streaming platform. According to What's On Netflix, they will become unavailable starting Feb. 15. This means folks with a Netflix membership still have a few weeks to watch or re-watch these movies.

What makes these movies so special is that they focus on two beloved characters from the One Piece anime and manga. Vivi, for one, is the princess of Alabasta. She used to go by the "Miss Wednesday" alias and worked undercover in Baroque Works.

Eventually, she teamed up with the Strawhats to face off against Sir Crocodile and save her country. Her farewell scene with the crew is unforgettable even after all these years — they had "X" symbols on their arms to show their bond and friendship with her.

Meanwhile, Chopper is the Strawhats crew's doctor. As a young reindeer with a blue nose, he became even more of an outcast after eating the Hito Hito no Mi Devil Fruit. This transformed him into a human and reindeer hybrid. Later, Dr. Kureha and Hiriluk took him in after the latter character saved his life.

Hiriluk's health deteriorated over time, which prompted Chopper to find a cure for him. Chopper ended up giving him a deadly mushroom, but Hiriluk hugged Chopper for his heartfelt intentions. Kureha then honored Hiriluk's final wish of teaching Chopper real medicine. Kureha also honored Hiriluk's research of bringing cherry blossoms to the snowy Drum Island. This led to the location being called "Sakura Kingdom."

Although these two One Piece movies will reportedly leave Netflix on Feb. 15, fans of the franchise can still watch other One Piece content via the live action series. And in terms of the manga and anime, there are currently over 1,000 chapters and episodes to catch up on.
