The highly anticipated movie adaptation of the wildly popular video game series, Borderlands, will be hitting theatres this summer and we've finally got our first look at the characters. Some heavy hitters from Hollywood are involved; with Cate Blanchette as Lilith, Kevin Hart as Roland, and Claptrap being voiced by Jack Black.

It shows many of the characters you've come to love from the franchise in action. It definitely has the over-the-top vibe the Borderlands series is known for.

The movie's plot will be centred around Lilith (Cate Blanchett) as she is sent to Pandora to find someone's missing daughter. Pandora is the planet where the Borderlands video game series takes place, which will allow fans to get to see iconic locations brought to life.

Cate Blanchett as Lilith: Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett takes on the role of Lilith, a powerful Siren with deadly abilities. Blanchett's versatility and talent make her a perfect fit for the role of the enigmatic and dangerous character.

Kevin Hart as Roland: Comedian and actor Kevin Hart steps into the shoes of Roland, a skilled soldier and former Crimson Lance member. Hart's charisma and comedic timing are sure to bring a unique spin to the character.
