TSM part ways with Dubu after last-place TI11 finish

It’s just your normal post-TI roster shuffle.

TSM have announced the parting of ways with their support Dota 2 player Kim "DuBu" Doo-young, shortly after TI11. As the Dota 2 esports scene continues to see roster changes all around, Dubu is now on the search for a new org for the upcoming season.

A strong start in Dota 2 for TSM

TSM entered the Dota 2 scene earlier this year when they picked up Team Undying. The org’s entry into Dota 2 was a momentous occasion for the rather fragile North American scene. Soon after picking up the roster, TSM finished first in the NA DPC, over competitors such as Quincy Crew and Evil Geniuses.

TSM continued their stellar performance with a 2nd place finish in Tour 2, just behind Evil Geniuses. They followed it up with a performance on LAN when they ended up as runners-up losing 1-3 to OG esports at ESL One Stockholm. The team’s performance came as a surprise to many as they had wins over Team Liquid, Gaimin Gladiators, OG and more. For many in the Dota 2 esports scene, TSM was no longer a team to glance over.

However, soon after Stockholm, there was a visible decline in their performance. The Dota 2 patch update might have had an impact on their performance. They finished in last place at TI11 exiting the mega-event in the group stage itself.

With these move, the TSM Dota 2 squad comprises four players:

The post-TI11 Dota 2 roster reshuffle has seen many players part ways with their teams. As players find their way around the new season, it will be interesting to see what rosters are finalized before the start of the new season.

Meanwhile, the Dota 2 battlepass Part 2 will release tomorrow on November 3. The second part of the battle pass will bring several additional rewards including cosmetics, new arcanas, personas and more. Dota 2 players will also be able to play the Diretide game mode, one of the most popular game modes in the game.
