Topson is back on Tundra Esports

Miracle to Nigma Galaxy and now Topson is joining, or returning to Tundra Esports!

After briefly signing the ex-TSM, Tundra Esports is back to team-building for next season, and their newest addition to the list is one of the hypest names out there: Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen. Topson's addition to Tundra was announced on Jan. 7, and he'll of course be playing in the Mid Lane role. But how's the rest of the Tundra team looking so far?

Tundra Dota 2 roster for 2024

In December 2023, Tundra Esports, who had parted ways with most of their TI-winning roster in November, signed the roster of Team Undying. Many observers thought the ex-TSM sign was going to be a long-term relationship. However, the announcement didn't explicitly say that. Instead say this was the roster they were fielding for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, not necessarily for the whole season. When it was time to say farewell after a 7th-8th placement in this tournament, they excluded one player from the drop: Hard Support and Indonesian star, Matthew "Whitemon" Filemon.

The Support duo announcement followed up quickly. 20-year-old Edgar "9Class" Naltakian signing shocked the whole Tundra Esports fan base. His short career started when he was 17 and his most notable team has been "Team Sexy," A squad that would have played Div I DPC after finishing second on DPC EEU 2023 Tour 3: Division II, had the DPC continued. However, 9Class is still going to be playing for a TI-winning team, with TI-winner Topson, so 2024 is not bad news at all for him!

Who's next for Tundra?

Who's going to fill the Offlane and Hard Carry role? Well, it's not Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev. Please stop the rumour mill, as we already told you about his new team.

Some want to believe names like Ivan "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov, Anathan "ana" Pham, or even the currently inactive BetBoom Team player Ivan "Pure~" Moskalenko could join.

Truth is, the only confirmed Tundra Dota 2 roster still goes as follows:

  • 1 - TBD
  • 2 - Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen
  • 3 - TBD
  • 4 - Edgar "9Class" Naltakian
  • 5 - Matthew "Whitemon" Filemon

When is Tundra Esports new roster playing?

Time is running out, and the full roster announcement should come before Jan. 11, since this is the date BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 WEU Closed Qualifiers start. This is going to be the baptism of fire for the squad. They will be facing names like OG, Entity, Team Tickles and Team Secret. To this list, we should add the Open Qualifiers teams KZ Team and Ninja Penguins; plus an extra team yet to be invited.

If we had to make a wild bet, Tundra's full roster may be announced or updated tomorrow.
