Following the initial elimination phase, or Round 1, we bid farewell to four teams from the event. Execration, Shopify Rebellion, HEROIC, and Virtus.pro were the first 4 teams to fall away. However, a second elimination phase round was on the way, and another 4 teams would see their EWC 2025 dreams shattered.

With the top 8 in sight, teams went into the second round of the elimination phase. From all the teams that survived round 1, only one would make it through to the playoffs. One similarity from every series in the elimination phase was that not once did a team make it to game three. Every game ended in a 2-0 sweep.

Xtreme Gaming was the first to fall, as the Chinese squad could not make any headway over PARIVISION. Next up to the plate came Team Yandex and Gaimin Gladiators. The defending champions had no trouble dispatching their opponents, as they continued their title challenge. At the same time, the final hope of Southeast Asia, Talon Esports, met their end at the hands of Tundra Esports.

With that, only one last series remained, with Natus Vincere looking to cause an upset over Team Falcons. Unfortunately for NAVI, they could not make any sort of stand against their opponents. Stanislav “Marlr1ne” Potorak’s position 1 role showed up huge, dominating, and leaving NAVI in his team’s dust.
