The International 2024 Prize Pool
Valve placed a base prize pool of $1.6 million for TI13. More will be contributed by 25% of the overall purchase of 2024's Compendium. At the time of writing, the total prize pool has only reached $2.3 million - 5 days before the tournament begins.
It is likely the prize pool will be lower than the previous year at TI12, which offered less than $3.4 million. We will update the official prize winning distribution below once the prize pool is finalized.

Valve makes TI 2024 ad free, orgs are unhappy
Valve dropped a bombshell to announce that teams cannot advertise their sponsors in game anymore. This means Valve will not allow sponsor names (example: BetBoom, 1win, Gaimin) on the game's interface, including team flags, banners, and logos.
Some celebrated the news as a spectator. But organizations are devastated as it may affect their economy. Gaimin Gladiators voiced out: "Now I understand why the Midas bug is still around—so we can make money from a dead game."
The CEO of Cloud9, Jack Etienne, also says that this decision is a gut punch to teams, who only knew about it days before TI13 begins. Cloud9 recently entered Dota 2, partnered with crypto casino BC.GAME.
Valve releases final patch before TI 2024: Patch 7.37c
Teams now have to study a new mini patch just 5 days before TI13 begins. Patch 7.37c delivered adjustments to 7 items and 39 heroes. This includes great buffs to Zeus, and Anti-Mage. The biggest nerfs went to Omniknight, Sven, and Tinker. But overall, the hero changes are minimal and were mainly tweaks across facets and abilities.
