Everybody is talking about the Dota 2 Crownfall candle token that's missing for the "Lost and found" side quest. After progressing through the Overworld Map, players found out the "Always-closed Candlemaker's Shop" is the key to solving this puzzle. However, this encounter is not available after Act I.



This mission is not behind a paywall either. Buying the Midgate Pathfinder pack unlocks two extra side quests, with bonus rewards. Yet, the candle token is not one of them. Before the Act II releases, the maximum progression you can get is 52/53 missions complete. 



And yes, you're stuck with an incomplete number until the next patch. Unless you do some illegal modifications to the source code, of course. But, what did the community find out about this mystery? And what does Yurnero, the Juggernaut, have to do with all of this?



Lost and Found side quest, which requires the candle token, has a Juggernaut icon on it.






How to get the Dota 2 Crownfall Candle token?



The YouTuber Fay Dota Stuff posted a video on how to get the token through the developer console. As the user pointed out, he is not sure if this is safe to do, since Valve may detect this as a false-positive for cheating. Gladly, you don't have to do it with your own account to know that getting the token this way won't give you any new rewards.









After getting the candle token, entering the cave will show a single dialogue: "My name is Eldor the Wizard. This is my top secret room. Keep it between us, OK?"

Interestingly, in the space of just a few months in 2024, the mid-laner has surpassed his total prize winnings from 2017 to 2023, leading to him becoming a beloved meme. We sat down with Guo "Xm" Hongcheng at ESL One Birmingham to reflect on the event and also to pick his brains about Viper, the best-mid laners in the world and more importantly - what does he think about his Chinese prize winnings meme?

esports.gg: First, congratulations on winning Elite League! The team seemed a bit slow to start in the ESL One Birmingham. What do you think was the reason for yesterday's loss? What's the mood in the team?



XG Xm: We just won the championship, so perhaps we were a bit loose, leading to a not-good performance on the first day. Also, the current patch has been around for a long time, and we wanted to try out some new things, but it didn't work out. The team vibe has always been good, everyone is generally positive. Later on we will return to China for a rest, then prepare for the next tournament.

It's been four years since you last teamed up with Ame. Do you notice any of his differences or changes compared to before?



XG Xm: To be honest, my memory of four years ago isn't very clear. But now, he seems to make more decisions in the game and has become more mature than before. It feels like more of a personality change.

It has been almost two weeks since the release of the Crownfall event in Dota 2. The event brought Dota 2 players the long-awaited Arcanas, Treasures, and a lengthy event game. It is divided into four parts and we are currently heading towards the end of Act I: The Markets of Midgate. So when does the Crownfall Act II: The Deserts of Druud unlock?



When is the Crownfall Act II start date



Crownfall Act II will unlock mid-May, around May 14 to May 21. Additionally, according to data miners, Act I will last until May 14 so Act II will likely follow up on the day itself or on May 15. 







If you're looking forward to finish the Main Quest and the additional Side Quests, there's still plenty of time to progress. But if you're far behind and you don't feel like you have enough time, fret not, there's no need to be hasty. Valve has made it so you can progress according to your own comfort and pace as Act I will not expire upon the next Act's arrival.

While the Dota 2 client did show the approximate date for Crownfall's Act II, it has yet to show any hints for the other Acts. However, data miners have leaked their findings for the dates. Here are the leaked dates for Act I to Act IV of Crownfall:

A Dota tournament wouldn't be complete without a cosplay showcase, and the cosplays at ESL One Birmingham 2024 did not disappoint. 



In the one of the largest Dota cosplay event, 22 dedicated cosplayers feature their artistry through bold and beautiful costume designs. Then there's the outlandish one on the far end of the creative spectrum, who is none other than Dota 2 analyst Robson "TeaGuvnor" Merritt.

Representing his home base, TeaGuv cosplayed as Io at ESL One Birmingham. With nothing but what seemed to be a pair of socks, an undershirt and an intricately designed box, he dressed as the "Benevolent Companion" Arcana version of Io. 



The costumed seemed highly encumbering. Yet he remained steadfast and waddled through the stage without forgetting to his graceful jump-spin to bedazzle the audience.







After TeaGuv's showcase came the Spectre cosplayer, Karoinna, who went all out with the neon lights setup. Consequently, she needed help walking on the stage. Of course, true to his "Benevolent Companion" name, TeaGuv came tethering to the Spectre and made sure of his carry's safety.







While this was not a competition, TeaGuv would've likely won judging by how wild the crowd went for his cosplay. Evidently, this was not his first rodeo in the cosplaying world. At Berlin Major 2023, he cosplayed as Lina complete with a wig, mantle and Lina's distinctive face marks.






Who should TeaGuv cosplay next?



TeaGuv's decision to cosplay as Io at ESL One Birmingham is due to a poll he started. After numerous rounds of voting, Io had won 306 votes versus runner-up Queen of Pain with 229 votes. Perhaps he needs to cosplay as Ringmaster next to usher the hero in sooner than later.

ESL One Birmingham, a million-dollar Dota 2 tournament, just concluded on April 28th. The event had ample upsets and tons of spicy all-chats, not to mention the relentless chugging. All that hype isn't just vibes, but it is also reflected in the numbers! ESL One Birmingham's viewership has broken the record to become the most-watched ESL One Dota 2 tournament - by a far margin.



ESL One Birmingham's viewership reaches 11 million Hours Watched



According to Esports Charts, ESL One Birmingham reached 11.7 million Hours Watched, climbing to the highest rank of all ESL One tournaments. Funnily enough, it overtook the previous ESL One Birmingham which took place in 2019. This tournament garnered 9.7 million Hours Watched. In terms of Peak Views, the 2024 ESL One Birmingham also did well, breaking into the top 3 of all ESL One Dota 2 events. It stands behind ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 and ESL One Birmingham 2019. These tournaments may have garnered the highest peak views but the 2024 ESL One Birmingham had better consistency in viewership throughout the Playoffs.



In this year's ESL One Birmingham, more people were interested and engaged throughout the final few series of the tournament. In contrast, ESL One Kuala Lumpur only had a drastic surge of views in the grand final series.



Why the tournament broke viewership records







It has been a while since Dota 2 came back to the United Kingdom and the hype train there is unmatchable. As the stats show above, the previous ESL One Birmingham in 2019 also broke records. The location is great, the crowd is wonderful, but what are the main factors leading to this massive viewership?

It can be frustrating, not being able to play your favorite game. You boot it up, get an dev error, and keep trying to play to no avail.



Well, DEV ERROR 5433 for Call of Duty: MW3 and Warzone is an awful culprit. Thankfully, there are a few things you can try to bypass this error code:




Uninstall and reinstall your Call of Duty launcher to remove any corrupt or errored files



Adjust your On-Demand Texture Streaming settings to the Small cache size



Simply restart your PC or console to see if that resolves the problem



Change the in-game language, then revert it back to your preferred language



Wait for the developers to patch a fix into Call of Duty for DEV ERROR 5433




All of these have worked for players in the past, so give them a try. They aren't listed in any sort of order of effectiveness, so go at them at your discretion.

Phillip "ImperialHal" Dosen has joined the Red Bull Gaming team ahead of the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Year 4 Split 1 Playoffs! He sat down with esports.gg to talk about what being a Red Bull Gaming player means for his content. The player shared his thoughts on the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs as well.

In an interview with esports.gg, ImperialHal revealed his excitement about collaborating with Red Bull Gaming, noting the company's reputation for creative projects. He added that Red Bull Gaming provides the resources to explore content ideas, which he believes are lacking in the Apex Legends community. Additionally, the fact that Timothy "iiTzTimmy" An is already part of the Red Bull Gaming family gives ImperialHal confidence in joining the team.

"I wanted to kind of try to combine the physical aspects of Red Bull and the esports side," ImperialHal said. "So things like skydiving or just stuff like that. When does TFT patch 14.9 release? - Answered

Valve is reportedly sending out a new VAC Ban Wave and this time there are hundreds of accounts that will be impacted. The new VAC Ban wave is not related to Overwatch or cheating cases. Instead, as per reports, it is primarily focused on accounts that are used for boosting or for case farming. Here’s what we know so far.

VAC Bans due to Boosting



Valve Anti Cheat (VAC) is the game publisher’s defense against cheaters and game abusers. The system is primarily associated with cheating or hacking prevention, but it is also applicable for accounts that try to game the system. Previously, Valve has issued VAC Bans for thousands of accounts at a time due to the usage of hacks or illegal softwares in the game. Using hacks gives these accounts an unfair advantage over other players which in turn makes the gameplay experience poor for everyone concerned.

The latest VAC Ban wave, however, is more focused on dealing with accounts that are used to boost others. It also includes accounts that idle in various game modes with the sole intention of farming cases. Both of these types of accounts spoil the gameplay experience for the average player. Valve wants to ensure players that abuse certain loopholes such as case farming. Case farming means when you join a server with ten of your own accounts. This means you will get a case drop - but you are also abusing Valve’s server capacity. Bali Major will be located at the elegant Ayana Estate, a 90-hectare land lies on a cliff above the Jimbaran bay built as an expansive neighborhood of resorts. It is important to know that the tournament itself will be held at Champa Garden not at the main resort. In order to get to the venue, you will need to use a tram service from the Ayana Resort lobby.

You also need to know that non-tournament related activities such as the Secret Shop merchandise store will be located at the Rimba Hotel, which is accessible via the tram service as well. Bali Major 2023 visitor’s guide

We are just a day away from the Bali Major playoffs, where teams will duke it out at the stunning Champa Garden of Ayana Estate. Sadly, most fans can only enjoy the event from afar as tickets to this event were scarce. Thankfully, the OG family are here to save the day. Even when their team are not competing at the Major, OG flew in to Bali to host their very own watch party. So for the fans out there who decided to come to Bali anyway despite having no access to the tournament... Rejoice!



Update: IO Esports has just announced the OG Monkey Business Show (MBS) as their official Bali Major aftershow. MBS will go live at the end of every Major day at the same location as the watch party. Jake "SirActionSlacks" Kanner and Admir "lizZard" Salkanović are some of the guest stars who will appear at the show.
