There can’t be a more majestic end to the infinite tiebreakers.

Tour 3 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) for 2023 concluded last night in one of the most epic Tour finales we have ever witnessed. A three-way tiebreaker in North America (NA) delivered a mind-blowing loop between B8, ALPHA, and Sand King Gomez. The games continued for 12 hours before B8 finally broke the pattern with none other than Dendi's iconic Pudge.

Three rounds of three-way tiebreakers

The night of June 6, 2023, was enjoyable for fans but definitely an exhausting series of games for players and talents. The three teams - B8, ALPHA, and Sand King Gomez - took on each other in a BO1 matchup and the team that scores two wins could keep their slot in Division I. But the tiebreakers continuously ended with a 1-0 score for all teams, prompting it to start all over again.

After 12 long hours, the tiebreakers finally ended. B8 broke the infinite loop, winning both their opponents. It was an even better ending as the deciding game against Sand King Gomes witnessed Danil "Dendi" Ishutin's legendary Pudge.

If zoomers are reading this, a Dendi x Pudge combo is a hall-of-famer as it delivered the very first TI win by NAVI. Though that was nearly twelve years ago, the 33-year-old Dendi shows that he still has the spirit of the butcher in him.

This certainly brought some of the old-school fans down the nostalgic road.

It has been three full Tours since Dendi and B8 relocated to NA to compete in the NA DPC. While other Dota 2 pioneers have slowly changed roles over the years, Dendi remains in the midlane position under his own organization. This leads to many people in the community doubting his and his team's potential.

But it seems like B8 is holding on through the highest competition in North America. The team, comprising Denis "StoneBank" Korzh, Dendi, Glib "Funn1k" Lipatnikov, Joel "MoOz" Ozambela, and Oleg "Lodine" Kvasha always seems to pull off the most miraculous performances to hover over relegation.

This is how B8 performed throughout the 2023 DPC season.
