MinD_ContRoL joins Topson to build Tundra Esports’ roster of TI winners ahead of BetBoom Dacha and DreamLeague Season 22

The International 2022 champion is firing on all cylinders in forming its all-star roster. After securing one of the best midlaners and two-time TI champion, Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen, Tundra Esports has recruited yet another TI winner, Ivan "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov, making sure to keep its legacy of a TI champion team.

A new journey for MinD_ContRoL with Tundra Esports

MinD_ContRoL had been a part of the Liquid-Nigma squad led by Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi since 2015. While he had enormous success throughout the years with his former team, such as winning The International 2017 (TI7), it is refreshing to see him finally bear new stripes.

That said, MinD_ContRoL had already been a free agent since September 2023. He joined OG for DreamLeague Season 21, stood-in for Team Tickles during Pinnacle Cup: Malta Vibes #4 and played at TI12 with Team SMG. Before Nigma Galaxy officially released him on December 20, MinD_ContRoL also participated in the ESL One Kuala Lumpur qualifier and the Pinnacle: 25 Year Anniversary Show with the teams komanda X and The dudley boys respectively. In fact, it was at the latter where he first played with current team member, 9Class. Even in his new team, the stars continue to align for MinD_ContRoL.

Tundra looks to BetBoom Dacha and DreamLeague Season 22

Tundra Esports will participate at the BetBoom Dacha Western Europe Closed Qualifier, facing OG as the first opponent on Jan. 11. As for the newly appointed ESL Pro Tour (EPT) system, Tundra unfortunately had to start again from zero. Due to changing more than three players, the team had to forfeit all the EPT points earned from DreamLeague Season 21 and ESL One Kuala Lumpur.

Tundra is looking to win up to 4,200 EPT points by winning the upcoming DreamLeague Season 22. But all of that depends on whether Tundra can secure a carry player that can level with the star-studded roster. We will find out very soon who the final missing piece is.
