This Upper Bracket matchup is set to be one be a clash of styles, with Gaimin Gladiators, a deliberate and proactive team, facing off against Team Aster, the kings of stalling-out games, with more 60-minute + games at the Lima Major than any other squad.

As we've pointed out, Gaimin seemingly struggles when games don't immediately go their way, and if Aster can stall out long enough, this one's going to be messy!

Gaimin Gladiators vs Team Aster Game 1: Gaimin gets the lead

Unfortunately the game was seemingly delayed, and didn't start at its scheduled 7:00 a.m. PT start time. This was eventually pushed to a 8:00 a.m. PT start time. The match wasn't initially viewable on Epulze Stream but could be seen on the Spanish 4D Esports stream. As a neutral game, the crowd exploded for both Aster and Gaimin Gladiators.

Gaimin went back to its group stage staple picks, although Quinn's Storm Spirit was a slightly weird hero. Aster on the other hand shocked with a very surprising Death Prophet, and so DP vs Storm Spirit was the mid-lane matchup. And this mid lane matchup would cause the first blood onto Quinn in a difficult lane. But elsewhere, GG were looking strong.

Despite losing the first towers, GG seemed to have a game plan, baiting in Team Aster and taking the fights they want.

These catches started to show a key issue with Aster's draft. They didn't have any catch, and Gaimin's composition meant that had a lot of global pressure. Plus Quinn's early poor start in midlane had completely disappeared, and Gaimin were just too dominant. Gaimin take game 1 with an impressive performance.

Gaimin Gladiators vs Team Aster Game 2

Team Aster swapped drafts with Gaimin for game two, picking up a nearly exactly identical draft to Gaimin's in the first game. The game started badly for Gaimin who seemed to struggle with against their old draft, with the Tusk bullying Batrider in mid.

Despite struggling for most of the match, a crucial Roshan take absolutely flipped the script in favour of Gaimin Gladiators.

Aster continued making some questionable decisions, including getting themselves killed in a bizzare pickoff that seemed destined to fail for Gaimin Gladiators, only be a complete stomp.

At this point, things were pretty much over for Team Aster, as all their momentum was gone. Every fight was going GG's way and it was only a matter of time before Aster had call it a game.
