Fnatic welcomes Gabbi and kpii to its roster for BTS Pro Series 13. It has not been confirmed whether this will be the team for 2023 DPC.
After much anticipation, Fnatic finally revealed its roster--at least for the duration of BTS Pro Series 13. According to Fnatic Dota Fans Twitter, the organization has not confirmed whether its newest additions Kim "Gabbi" Santos and Damien "kpii" Sau-jing will continue after the BTS tournament. This will likely be dependent on the team's results at the tournament. The full lineup is as follows:
- Kim "Gabbi" Santos
- Armel "Armel" Tabios
- Damien "kpii" Sau-jing
- Djardel "DJ" Mampusti
- Jaunuel "Jaunuel" Arcilla
A familiar roster that once won a major reunited
Gabbi and kpii have big shoes to fill in place of Marc "Raven" Fausto and Anucha "Jabz" Jirawong. Despite many challenges throughout the year of 2022, the previous Fnatic roster made it to The International 11 even though they finished 13th-16th.
That said, this iteration of Fnatic roster isn't exactly a new concept. Armel, Gabbi, and kpii had previously played together for some time under TNC Predator. In fact, they once were one of the most successful SEA lineups, bagging a win at the MDL Chengdu Major in 2019. The tournament witnessed powerful domination in the grand final, defeating Chinese powerhouse Vici Gaming 3-1.
But it has been quite some time since then, and we can hardly foresee if they are able to replicate previous results and bring Fnatic some wins. The BTS Pro Series Season 13 will be a good testing ground to measure this fresh but familiar roster's mettle.
