Falcons secure the win after a thrilling Game 2.
BetBoom and Falcons faced each other in the Lower Bracket Round 3 of the International 2024. The loser would face elimination, while the winner moves ahead to play in the LB Quarterfinals. All in all, it was a do or die series and both teams put their best foot forward for this series.

Game 1
The first game was extremely one sided as Falcons ran away with everything in that match. Falcons’ performance showed dominance from the first minute. They stuck to what they had come in to play and it was quite easy when everything worked for them. Falcons picked LIna, Underlord and Sand King. The trio allowed the team to be extremely tanky, but with OmniKnight on Sneyking, they seemed to be extremely unkillable.
Mar1ne was able to cut through the creeps and with Sandstorm was easily able to survive through the vulnerable levels. Sand King ended up with a 13-0 score, easily gaining farm and then outmaneouvering his opponents.
Overall, there was not much to write about the first game. Falcons ran away with the game as BetBoom were simply unable to get any momentum going.

Game 2
The second game saw BetBoom pick up Medusa and Doom. The team also had a Snapfire, Storm and Elder Titan - all heroes that require the game to go really late. Meanwhile, Falcons chose a lineup that could easily burst the enemy before Medusa gets online. Medusa as a hero has received several nefs over the time.
The team’s coach also admitted that the draft was a greedy one - but he had belief the hero lineup would play best to the players’ capabilities. Falcons were off to a blazing start reminding us of a similar gameplay in Game 1. But after some time, it was evident it was going to be a game between BB’s Medusa and almost the entire enemy team.
DK’s Dragon form and the team’s BKBs were crucial for the team’s performance against BB’s Medusa. Falcons, however, were also aware of the fact that their late game was still comparable with BetBoom despite there being a Medusa on the enemy team. This was partly due to the fact that Medusa is no longer a super late-game hard carry as it used to be.
However, one important team fight changed the course of the game. When BetBoom were able to repel the opponents, they followed it up with one kill after another.
Whenever Doom used to doom a hero, it was Centaur who would use his cart to save his teammate. The intelligent use of the Centaur cart was a perfect way to disengage.
In the end, it came down to a brave, almost 1v5 performance by the Razor. When the Razer used the Satanic, BetBoom decided to fall back, but the Medusa was caught out of position and quickly lost all her mana and ultimately her life.
In the end, Falcons won 2-0 to move on in the competition. BetBoom were eliminated from the event.
