Every single ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 Welcome Letter (even the un-published ones!)

Fresh memes and inside jokes from the teams you love: We’ve compiled all the Welcome Letters from ESL ONE Kuala Lumpur!

It's a tradition now for the ESL One events to welcome every team with the most hilarious letters, hyping the tournament on social media and giving pre-game content to the fans. Some players use them to joke with their teammates on Twitter, others forget to share them and keep the laughs for themselves. Keep reading to read all twelve letters!

Team Liquid's opportunity (?) to kick Blitz

With Blitz taking a short break and missing the last big Dota 2 event of the year, Team Liquid will play with Mathis "Jabbz" Friesel standing-in as Head Coach. On the matter, ESL decided it was a great opportunity to say some beautiful things to the good boy William, which Michael "m1cke" Vu didn't hesitate to share.

A mission for Gaimin Gladiators

Mr. John ESL knows what he wants for the Grand Finals and he needs the help of the Gladiators. Do you think this year's most repetitive exciting match up will happen one more time?

Team Falcons in the house!

New organizations joined the Dota 2 scene after TI12 and the new MENA team built around ex-Tundra players Oliver "Skiter" Lepko and Wu "Sneyking" Jingjun is looking really strong. At least stronger than PSG.Quest, the new cursed team.

9Pandas will be busy...

ESL ONE Kuala Lumpur organizers have prepared a very particular itinerary for the 9Pandas, who will be playing with a slightly different team composition: Starring Alik "V-Tune" Vorobei as their new Hard Carry, Andrei "Afoninje" Afonin as the Soft Support and the very unexpected return of Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev to the Offlane after 2 years of being a Carry player.

Hot dogs for LGD Gaming!

Good news! After getting rid of the PSG curse and embracing the hot dogs, LGD will have the one and only SirActionSlacks as their personal sausage master. This is getting harder and harder to write, so just enjoy the letter.

Now, the letters that were not shared at all

Some teams just forgot to share their letters. Shame on them, there's a really sad person behind these beautifully crafted memes waiting for their master creation to see the light of the day! Thankfully, now everyone can enjoy them! Happy ending. (Provided by ESL)

BTW, there's one in Spanish for Wawitas Sagazes

But don't worry, here's an attempt on translating this poem specially made for the South American qualified team.

From the heart, I write to you,
babies clever and so keen,
to remind you above all else,
that you are the most effective we've seen.

True, your team faced a rupture,
and the dream team didn't make amends,
but I'm glad that from that break,
emerged these babies, wise beyond trends.

It's challenging to express with certainty,
how tough, audacious,
these little ones can truly be,
known only for being sagacious.

Like a condor, I hope to see you,
in the tournament, the most daring,
devouring others' bodies,
like babies so sharply staring.

Fly and dream, my little ones,
never hesitate, always bold,
listen to your parents,
be the most tenacious, as you're told.

Your logo is an ordinary dog,
and writing well may not be your graces,
but you'll always be,
the most sagacious and perspicacious faces.
