Crownfall Act 3 is now live in the Dota 2 client and fans could not be happier. The Crownfall event has found massive success with the Dota 2 community and as a gesture of goodwill, Valve has extended the event til October.
When does Crownfall end in Dota 2?
Dota 2 Crownfall ends in October after Valve extended the event’s end date due to its popularity. On July 10, Valve released Crownfall Act 3, and with it came a brand new map that promises more action and more excitement.
Crownfall Act 3 brings a new map, one that is very cold cause of the snow. The scenario shifts to a new terrain amidst new mysteries, brawls, and many, many monsters.

Crownfall is a new way of telling stories, offering rewards, and making it more fun to play a game of Dota. Instead of boring patch updates that might sometimes seem too long to read, the comic book style of updates makes things more exciting. Of course, some cosmetics have always remained a big draw with Dota 2 players. But the story and the focus on Dota 2 lore is something that the player base has wanted and the rousing reception to Crownfall over the past few events has been proof of the same.
Players can unlock special tokens as they explore the map. They can collect treasures, candy, Crownfall Coins as they progress through the story. Here are the release dates for the three Crownfall Acts in Dota 2
- Crownfall Act 1: May 14 to June 14, 2024
- Crownfall Act 2: May 22
- And Crownfall Act 3: July 10
When Valve first announced Crownfall, they said it would run a few months. That would place Crownfall to end some time in August. However, with the event’s popularity, the game developer has now extended the event’s end date to October - after TI.
With a new game mode, the collector's cache and continuation of the comic lore, there's a lot to unpack in Crownfall Act 3.
