Months of waiting, weeks of anticipation, the The Compendium 2023 has arrived in Dota 2 today bringing rewards, fun, and more.
The Dota 2 Compendium 2023 has finally arrived, bringing with it dozens of rewards, features, and more. Unveiled on the evening of September 27, The Compendium 2023 has dozens of features, bingo, challenges to level up the Compendium and more.
The Compendium 2023
The first Compendium in Dota 2 since 2016, this compendium rivals the likes of a Battle Pass in levels of content, but instead focuses on The International 2023 as the main point of the content. As Valve explained in the accompanying blog post: "We chose to focus this update more narrowly: To elevate the players, the teams, and the artistry that is high-level Dota played at The International.
"We focused entirely on creating a set of activities to make TI more fun while games were going on, and another set of activities to make TI more fun when games weren't going on."
With this in mind, here's some of the features of The Compendium 2023:
The Road to the International Challenge
This unique mode, unlocked by The Compendium, sees you take on unique challenges that the pro players have achieved in the past year of competitive play. That means slipping into the heroes they played, or even one of the five heroes they used to win a specific match. This seems like a really interesting idea, and a chance for players saying they could have done better than pros to put their money where their mouth is!
These have both team and player challenges. Want to dunk on people like Quinn? Support like Boxi? Now's your chance!
Improved Fantasy
Fantasy has always been one of our favorites, but now there's a more in-depth mode linked to this new compendium. Craft better players, choose line-ups, and win fantasy points with this new game mode!
TI12 Bingo
We've absolutely created bingo cards for Dota 2 events before, but now there's an official mode. Fill your card and win rewards based on whether predictions come through. Another reason to watch matches, and if your card comes true, you'll get more levels for your compendium!
The Oracle's Challenge
This is your basic prediction system, but with more rewards. Pick'ems with more to win in the client! And, of course, in-game predictions are back.
Compendium Rewards
What rewards will you earn from the compendium you ask? Well here's the lowdown:
