Good news for the Dota 2 pro scene, more millionaire-mkaing tournaments to keep the fire alive!

The Tournament announcement season has begun with news of pair of an upcoming BetBoom Dacha tournaments. Even though we already got some news on the ESL Dota 2 Pro Tour for this year, it's important to celebrate every other income for the competitive scene and content for the fans, following the recent cancellation of Valve's Dota Pro Circuit (DPC).

BetBoom Dacha 2023 had a Prize Pool of $250,000 and featured seven invited teams, featuring BetBoom Team, another two from South America (Evil Geniuses and beastcoast), one from North America (TSM), one from Eastern Europe (9Pandas), two from Western Europe (Team Secret and Gaimin Gladiators), and one online qualified team (Nigma Galaxy). For this year, the event has changed quite a lot. Fissure announced two, one million dollar tournaments across 2024.

Without delay, let's talk about the first event of the year! Kicking off with Open Qualifiers on January:

  • Open Qualifiers: January 3–6
  • Closed Qualifiers: January 7–14
  • LAN Event (including 1v1): February 5–16

The 1v1 Tournament is receiving an upgrade as well, with a $100,000 Prize Pool. This is huge considering the past Solo Tournament paid Danil "gpk" Skutin the sum of $1,000, who beat Gleb "kiyotaka" Zyryanov with a 2-1 score.

What teams will be invited, and how do I play the Qualifiers?

Although there's not much information on how many slots will each region get, qualifier registrations will be open for everyone. In any case, remember to check our Dota 2 section frequently for more updates!

The event will be held in Dubai, with the following teams already invited: Team Spirit, BetBoom Team, LGD, Aurora Gaming, and Gaimin Gladiators.

If you want more time to prepare with your team, you can always aim for the second edition of the year:

  • Open Qualifiers: September 11-17
  • Closed Qualifiers: September 18-24
  • LAN Event (including 1v1): October 4-15
