In a clinical Dota 2 performance at the Esports World Cup 2025, the champions have been crowned as Team Spirit raise the trophy.
After 10 intense days of Dota 2 action from the Esports World Cup, a champion has been crowned as Team Spirit blasted away their opponents. Both Team Falcons and Spirit produced some spectacular performances through the playoffs. From turning around massive deficits to some exhilarating plays, the two teams seemed primed for an epic battle. However, what we got was a masterclass showing in a completely one-sided affair.
PARIVISION comes prepared
Before the grand finals, we got to see the third-place matchup. The best-of-three series between PARIVISION and Tundra Esports served as a tantalizing buildup to the grand finals. Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov’s Nature’s Prophet dominated the first game, with 23 kills, before PARIVISION brought out their specialty. The Pudge came into play, however, this time in the hands of Volodymyr “No[o]ne” Minenko. Tundra struggled to find a way to claim a foothold and would eventually take fourth place. For PV, this resulted in a podium finish at the Esports World Cup and $300,000 in prize pool earnings.

Heading into the grand finals, neither Spirit nor Falcons had dropped a game during the playoffs. It was expected to be an entertaining series between the two top teams, but instead, it was completely one-sided. From start to finish, Spirit was in Falcon’s face, dominating the entire series. The first game would see Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov on Lycan, and with a quick Helm of the Overlord, he controlled the Falcon’s side of the map.
Having figured Falcons out, Team Spirit was showing off champion-level drafts in the Esports World Cup Dota 2 grand finals. The next game sent Falcons reeling, with Denis “Larl” Sigitov’s Storm Spirit and Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk’s Medusa being unkillable by Falcons. With only nine kills on the board, the team went 0-2 down in the best-of-five series.
In what would be the final game of the Dota 2 tournament at the EWC 2025, Falcons seemed to crumble. Spirit would, essentially, run rings around the so-called "home team" and eventually took an easy 3-0 series victory. With that, Team Spirit was crowned the champions of Dota 2 at the Esports World Cup.
Alongside this, Collapse also received the prize of being the Tournament MVP.
The full standings and prize pool distribution for the tournament are as follows:

While Falcons played a spectacular event, Team Spirit only dropped a single game throughout the tournament to become champions of Dota 2 at the Esports World Cup 2025. The two teams will now get to relax as they prepare themselves for the next major tournament, The International 2025.
