BLAST Slam 2: Teams, Format, Results and more

The BLAST Slam 2 is the second edition of BLAST Dota 2 tournaments for 2025. The first edition came to an end with BetBoom winning. Here’s all you need to know about BLAST Slam 2: teams, format, and prize pool distribution. 

Grand Finals

The tournament has two stages - the Group Stage and the Playoffs. The Group Stage will see two groups of five teams each. The teams play each other in a round-robin format, with every series being a best-of-one series.

The best team advances to the semifinals while the second-place team goes to the quarterfinals. The 3rd-place team moves to Round 2. The remaining two teams go to Round 1, where they will face other similarly placed teams.

The playoffs are a single-elimination format where the Grand Finals is the only best-of-five series. All other matches in the playoffs are best of three series. 

Ten teams take part in the BLAST Slam 2 and a total of a million dollars in prize pool. The winner of the tournament takes home the majority of this prize pool with $400,000. The runner-up comes in next with $200,000 in prize winnings. Here are the complete results and the prize pool breakdown.

There are 10 teams in participation for the event. All 10 teams will receive direct invites to the tournament. At the time of writing, BLAST has not announced any of the invites. We will update this article with more information when it becomes available. 

The million-dollar tournament kicks off on February 3 and will continue until February 9. The tournament runs for seven days during which teams will battle it out to claim glory and a portion of the massive prize pool.
