5) Adrian "Wisper" Dobles

Adrián "Wisper" Dobles joining OG was one of the biggest roster moves recently. It hasn't been the easiest road, however, since he first started in November 2023. In the last two major tournaments, BetBoom Dacha and DreamLeague Season 22, OG was eliminated early.

That said, Wisper had some incredible moments worthy of mention, particularly when he played his infamous offlane Rubick. He was one of the pioneers who brandished the unorthodox pos 3 Dagon Rubick build, dating all the way back to 2022. During the Feb. 26 DreamLeague group stage series, OG was able to score off of the currently highest glicko-rated Team Falcons with a 12-1 KDA Wisper Rubick.

Wisper and OG still have ways to prove themselves. But by the looks of it, they are steadily improving. According to datdota, Wisper have played a total of 70 competitive matches under OG with a 57 percent win rate (40-30) per March 20. He also currently maintains a solid 53 percent win rate in all matchmaking within the last three months.

4) Danil "gpk" Skutin

Danil "gpk" Skutin has been one of the most consistent midlaners. His career began to shape up during his VP.Prodigy (Virtus.pro Prodigy/VP.P) days where they would later replace the main Virtus.pro roster. He then qualified for his very first TI, TI10, finishing at a strong 5th-6th place.

Two years later, he managed to replicate the same result at TI12 with BetBoom Team alongside with some teammates from VP.P. Gpk could even stand toe-to-toe against Nisha, who is one of the few midlaners to exceed him in terms of individual skills.

BetBoom Team seem to have what it takes to do what Gaimin Gladiators and Team Liquid did last year. Although they have yet to win a tournament, BetBoom have stepped up their game by placing no less than third place at both DreamLeague Season 22 and BetBoom Dacha.

3) Zhao "XinQ" Zixing

At third we have the highly adored and feared pos 4 player, Zhao "XinQ" Zixing. XinQ has been a staple support player from China with an incredible track record to show for. He has had multiple high placements from previous tournaments during his LGD Gaming days.

However, it wasn't until he joined Azure Ray in late 2023 where he revitalized Chinese Dota. Although under a temporary contract basis, he helped Azure Way win ESL One Kuala Lumpur, dethroning Europe after its long reign of championships.

Esports.gg had asked him then whether that victory would mark China's return to prominence. To which he humbly responded: "In the Chinese region, there are a lot more other teams out there who are just as strong if not sometimes stronger than us. I think honestly for this tournament, it felt like luck was on our side and we simply executed better." He later joined Xtreme Gaming in 2024 and won Games of the Future not long after.

XinQ boasts exceptional gameplay through a variety of classic pos 4 heroes such as Nyx Assassin, Mirana, and Rubick. Throughout his 63 competitive games with Xtreme Gaming in this calendar year thus far, he has achieved a 62 percent win rate (39-24). He also has the same win rate for his overall public matches in the last three months over 235 matches.

Second: Ame

China's most prolific Dota player, Wang "Ame" Chunyu, takes second place on this list. Ame hadn't lost his edge even after going through a two-year hiatus. Even though they were later eliminated early in the playoffs, Xtreme Gaming dominated the group stage and went 7-1 at BetBoom Dacha. And this was his first tournament since his return after a long break. Following that, he won Games of the Future and came in third at DreamLeague Season 22.

Like his teammate, XinQ, Ame also has a 62 percent win rate across his competitive games since January 2024. Unfortunately, he keeps his profile private, but according to Dotabuff he has a lifetime win rate of 54 percent.

1) Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf

Last but not least, we have Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf in first place. Though you could argue that everyone in Falcons should be on this list as they had won multiple tournaments back-to-back, which were all 3-0s.

However, Ammar takes the cake when he pulled off insane stunts like a Divine Rapier Mars, obliterating a fully-built carry Alchemist. Yet, the stoic offlaner did not show much emotions as he continued to own his opponents with ease. Just check this clip out.

Ammar has accrued a whopping 75 percent win rate with Team Falcons across his competitive matches between January and March 2024. This is the best performance he has ever had with a team, which he built within a measly three-month period.

The best Dota teams in 2024 so far

Without a doubt, Team Falcons is currently the best Dota team in 2024. In a short period of time, they were able to bag two championships in such a dominant fashion. Dota statistician, Ben "Noxville" Steenhuisen, had also mentioned that Falcons broke the record in achieving the highest end-of-week glicko rating. Team Falcons currently has a 2084.2 rating ahead of BetBoom Team and Xtreme Gaming.
