Beastcoast has shared a beautiful welcome letter from Lima Major organizer’s from the first major of the DPC season.
Welcome letters have become a tradition in the Dota 2 competitive world. Players and organizations will first receive well-written, sometimes emotional, personalized letters to start the tournament to provide them with a boost of motivation. And the upcoming Lima Major is no exception.
Beastcoast has recently shared with us all a heartfelt message from the organizer of Lima Major, 4D Esports, dedicated to the Peruvian team.
4D Esports welcome letter to beastcoast
The letter opens beautifully with a touch of beastcoast's history as Team Anvorgesa (We remember the cat burgers). They had the longest-lasting roster in the history of professional Dota 2 until The International 2022. The 4D Esports organization wants the Dota 2 community to know that this newly revamped beastcoast roster has put in work to prove they are a team that's "one much better than most believe."
Pressure is real for beastcoast as they are playing on home ground. In the most supportive way, 4D Esports reminded them "not to stop surprising us, regardless of the result".

Beastcoast has then graciously posted the translation of the Lima Major welcome letter for non-Spanish speakers.
There is no team that has closed more boxes in the history of South American Dota (and maybe worldwide) than Beastcoast. We are not going to get sentimental talking about anvorguesa or the team that they were until before TI2022, because we believe that they have workd the entire first season of the DPC to tell the world that they are a new team, one much better than most believe. The community has always had you in their sights and they expect a lot from you, perhaps with comments that can make them fell like they are not on your side. But we believe that it is the opposite. People do not know how to measure their true level and that is their greatest strength: they never shrunk, regardless of the size of the challenge.
More than asking you to ensure that the cup stays at home, we want to ask you not to stop surprising us, regardless of the result. We want to see Scofield simply be the chala, K1 reminding us that one can laugh even in the most difficult moments, Sacred has shown that doubts are extinguished with actions. Stinger showing off his talent as a captain and Darkmango being living proof that you are not born at the foot of a volcano in vain. We are here to see you defend the pride of an entire country.
The 4D Esports team
The fully-Peruvian team will indeed carry their whole country's hope behind their back. Beastcoast will be going into the Lima Major with this roster:
- Héctor "K1" Rodríguez
- Herrera "DarkMago" Gonzalo
- Rafael "Sacred" Yonatan
- Elvis "Scofield" Peña
- Steven "StingeR" Mamani
- Thomas Jaulis "Valqui" Romero (coach)
We will be covering the Dota 2 Lima Major which will be starting soon on February 22 until March 5. Stay tuned to Esports.gg for more esports news.
