Diablo 4's Battle Pass officially launches on July 20 with the launch of Season 1, known as Season of the Malignant. Players have had the opportunity to dive into the game for a while with the pass announced to be coming much later. Thankfully for players, the time has finally arrived with new content on the way. Here is everything you need to know about the Diablo 4 Battle Pass.

What is the Diablo 4 Battle Pass release date?

In a recent article, Blizzard confirmed the Battle Pass will officially be coming to the game on July 20 at 10 AM PDT. It is recommended that players complete the Diablo 4 campaign to ensure they are ready for when the game's big update launches.

What content is in the Diablo 4 Battle Pass?

Last night the Season 1 announcement trailer was posted on the official Diablo YouTube channel. The Season will be called Season of the Malignant. Season 1 will see a new form of emeny be added to the game, Malignant Monsters. These are decaying monsters that will be roaming Sanctuary on July 20. In order to unlock all of the cosmetics and items that come with the Battle Pass, players are recommended to complete the Season Objectives. These objectives are split up into seven champions, varying from simple tasks to challenges for the skilled.

As you embark through the Diablo 4 campaign, you will gradually level up your pass meter. Players will earn 27 free tiers along with 63 premium tiers. Players who only have the free version of the Battle Pass will still be guaranteed cosmetic items along with Smoldering Ashes. Smoldering Ashes is an in-game currency used to buff up your character across the season using the Season Blessings.

Players can have more than one Season Blessing active at a time, giving players a boost to their XP, Gold, and much more. According to Eurogamer, here are the free rewards that are known so far:

  • In-game cosmetics
  • Emotes
  • Gold
  • Emblems
  • Smoldering Ashes
  • Titles

How much does the Diablo 4 Battle Pass cost?

According to Blizzard, there will be three tiers for the Diablo 4 Battle Pass. Here are the prices for all three tiers:

  • Tier 1 (Battle pass) - Free
  • Tier 2 (Premium Battle Pass ) - $10.52
  • Tier 3 (Accelerated Battle Pass) - $26.31
