Greasy Luck returns in Destiny 2's Rite of the Nine with new god rolls to acquire.

Glaive users, it’s time: Greasy Luck is back and available with new god rolls and perk pools thanks to Destiny 2’s Rite of the Nine Activity.

Here’s a look at our god roll picks for Greasy Luck in PvE and PvP in Destiny 2.

What is the Greasy Luck god roll in Destiny 2?

Trait 1Reconstruction
Trait 2Incandescent
Redirection
Origin Trait, Masterwork, Weapon ModRestoration Ritual (Origin Trait)
Range (Masterwork)
Backup Mag (Weapon Mod)

For PvE we’ve got two solid add clear options in Incandescent and Chain Reaction. I’m leaning toward the former, with Incandescent combo’ing better with subclass fragments. If you’re not running Solar you can lean into Chain Reaction instead, although it’s not as potent as it used to be.

I’m not liking too much in column one to pair it. Melee Momentum is nice, but I’d rather play it safe with the auto-reloading nature of Reconstruction.

An interesting option you could consider is Redirection. Kills on rank-and-file enemies grant a buff to your next major shot, which could be handy in endgame activities if paired with shield regeneration.

HaftSupercooled Accelerator
MagazineSwap Mag
Accurized Rounds
Trait 1Melee Momentum
Trait 2Unstoppable Force
Origin Trait, Masterwork, Weapon ModRestoration Ritual (Origin Trait)
Range (Masterwork)
Ballistics (Weapon Mod)

Glaives aren’t all that popular in PvP, but the glaive perks of Melee Momentum and Unstoppable Force are solid enough to get you through. Boost range where you can and rely on ammo pickups to reload the glaive for you out of combat.

Greasy Luck is available via Rite of the Nine. Completing the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon in the event playlist has the highest chance of rewarding a Greasy Luck. You can also attune to the weapon at The Emissary to boost its drop rate from The Emissary chest.

Adept (custom shader) and Holofoil (animated special shader with double perks) versions of Greasy Luck can drop from higher-difficulty version of Rite of the Nine. You can’t craft Greasy Luck — enhance the weapon instead if you’re looking for upgraded versions of each perk.
