The Doorman thirst is real in Deadlock. The game's recent August update not only triggered a major spike in players since the game's alpha launch, but also inspired folks to share just how much they love the Doorman character.

Since Doorman's introduction, lots of folks have shared their fanart and thoughts about him on social media. On X, several artists such as sillystr1ngz, Chosentragedy, thejoxaren, and Soukoku4life drew fanart of him.

"The Doorman has bewitched me," thejoxaren wrote. Meanwhile, sillystr1ngz described the character as "that one twink [everyone's] obsessing over."

KrakenMasterOfficial on Reddit even petitioned for Doorman to become a "Tumblr Sexyman" due to the character's wide appeal. Users FinalMonarch and Supershadow30 went into the requirements of what makes a Tumblr Sexyman as well.

Is Doorman the new Tumblr Sexyman?

Some characteristics of a Tumblr Sexyman include being tall, sharply dressed, mysterious, and, of course, a twink. They may also have superpowers. In Deadlock, Doorman's Doorway ability allows for teleportation from one doorway to another. Interestingly, these doorways are orange and blue -- similar to Portal.

Supershadow30 listed a few examples of Tumblr Sexymen, including the Once-ler from The Lorax, Sans from Undertale, Loki from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and Alastor from Hazbin Hotel.

Tumblr Sexymen are typically quite popular with folks who enjoy pairing different characters together in a romantic sense, too. This is called "shipping," and the activity can be seen across various fandoms such as Overwatch 2 and Arcane.

"The only thing that’s missing is the insane amounts of fanshipping, but I assume that'll come in time," Supershadow30 wrote.

Speaking of shipping, the Deadlock fandom have been sharing artwork of Doorman ships on X and Tumblr since the character's introduction. A ship we've come across is Driftdoor, which brings Drifter and Doorman together.
