The clutch factor is coming to North America in 2022.

Team Liquid has officially announced that former Team Vitality star Richard “shox” Pavilion will be joining their CS:GO team in 2022.

The move is no surprise to the community after it was reported that the 29-year old CS:GO veteran was linked to joining Team Liquid after the team’s poor performances in 2021.

As for Shox, it was a mixed year for the French talent with Vitality. While he was able to find decent success, such as a victory at IEM Winter and a quarterfinal finish at the PGL Stockholm Major, his HLTV Rating was at its lowest ever at 1.01.

A mixed year in 2021, Team Liquid is hoping to rekindle some of the firepower and consistent clutch factor that he has been known for throughout his career.

In Shox’s place, Vitality has been linked towards rumors that they would acquire the Astralis trio of Emil “Magisk” Reif, Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, and coach Danny “zonic” Sørensen at the end of 2021.

Team Liquid looking for better results in 2022 with Shox

2021 was a really rough year for Team Liquid results-wise. Acting as the sole hope of North American CS:GO, much was left to be desired from the NA superteam. Team Liquid was unable to make the final of any S-Tier event throughout the year.

And by the end of 2021, were left with just a 12th-14th place finish at the PGL Stockholm Major. The team stuck together for five more events before officially calling it quits ahead of the 2022 competitive year.

Now, Team Liquid currently has four confirmed players for their 2022 lineup, with the final rumored player being longtime Team Liquid IGL Nicholas “Nitr0” Cannella making a probably return to the CS:GO team.

Shox, alongside AWPer oSee and possibly Nitr0 will join the longtime Team Liquid duo of Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski and Keith “NAF” Markovic in 2022.

With a new lineup, Team Liquid will look to reverse their rough 2021 fortunes with better results in 2022.
