After a four year stint, Vini will part ways with FURIA esports. He has been a part of the team’s highs and lows, but now might reportedly join Team Liquid in the new year.

FURIA esports’ coach Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira has confirmed the team does not have plans to move ahead with Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo for 2022.

This announcement comes days after a report by Globo esports that Team Liquid is eyeing Vini for its CS:GO squad. FURIA is looking to add a dedicated AWP player to its roster.

Vini has been a part of FURIA esports since 2018. The 22-year-old player was a part of FURIA’s run through the StarLadder Berlin Major, several BLAST Premier events, ESL Pro League Season 12, ESL One Cologne.

FURIA failed to make it to the PGL Stockholm Major playoffs, a performance that seems to have fuelled this decision.

Furia, through Guerri, came to the conclusion that they wouldn't want to count on me for the 2022 season. Obviously I'm saddened by the decision, but life as a professional athlete goes that way.

My desire is to continue playing CSGO professionally, so at the moment I am evaluating all the proposals for my future as a player.

While talking about his future prospects, Vini also mentions his post-CS:GO career will be in esports. He hopes to work with FURIA in the future.

What is FURIA’s CS:GO roster?

FURIA is yet to announce its fifth member, but CS:GO fans can expect an announcement very soon.

FURIA’s current roster is as follows:

  • Andrei "arT" Piovezan
  • Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato
  • Yuri "yuurih" Santos
  • André "drop" Abreu
  • Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira (coach)

FURIA is reportedly targeting Rafael “saffee” Costa to replace Vini on the roster. Saffee is currently on paiN gaming.

What’s next for Team Liquid CS:GO?

Meanwhile, Vini might join Team Liquid for the new season. The Brazilian has been an integral part of FURIA’s performance in the last few years. Several of the Team Liquid players are contemplating their future on the team.

FalleN and Stewie2k are reportedly planning a future without Team Liquid according to a report by RushBMedia. Elige mentioned on stream the team has not been playing together since the team is making some changes. The team is currently playing at BLAST Premier Fall Finals, but CS:GO fans can expect some changes after the tournament.
