Esports tournament organizer, BLAST, has announced an event in North America. BLAST Premier will take place in Washington later this year much to the joy of North American Counter-Strike fans.

BLAST Premier Washington — what do we know so far?
The BLAST Premier Washington will take place from June 7-11, 2023. The tournament will have eight teams spread out over two double-elimination groups. Each group has four teams and they will compete in the best-of-three series.
The top three teams from each group advance to the playoffs. The Group stage winner will go directly to the semi-finals. The runners-up and the third-place teams advance to the quarterfinals. The runners-up get the higher seed while the third-place team move on as the lower-seed.
The BLAST Premier Spring Finals Washington will have a $425,000 prize pool. The team that wins the Spring finals will get the lion’s share of the prize money at $200,000. The winner will also receive a direct invite to the World Finals later this year.
Over the years, BLAST has hosted tournaments on various continents and in different countries. They held tournaments in Abu Dhabi, Copenhagen, and Lisbon on top of several online events. The BLAST Premier esports structure also provides opportunities for non-BLAST members to compete at the highest level of competition.
BLAST hosts its own separate circuit throughout the calendar year. In 2023, BLAST hosted the first event of the year with the BLAST Premier Spring groups. The tournament organizer will also end the year with the final tournament — the BLAST Premier World Finals. The 2022 edition of the BLAST Premier World Finals saw G2 Esports emerge victorious after a dominant 2-0 victory over Team Liquid.
