Astralis won the Danish derby against Heroic in the IEM Cologne quarterfinals. With an impressive performance from the youngster Christian Møss "Buzz" Andersen, Astralis beat Casper "cadiaN" Møller's team 2-0.
Now, Astralis will face G2 in the semifinals. This will be a rematch of the debut of both teams in the group stage of IEM Cologne 2023. In that game, G2 won by 2:1 in a well-balanced game.
Astralis vs Heroic
Ancient
Ancient was Heroic's pick for the best of three maps (BO3), and they started on the T side. Still, Astralis began better in the match, with four rounds in a row, but Heroic recovered to finish the half with a minimum difference of 7:8 in the score.
In the second half, Astralis was the one in the T side and they showed great dominance over Heroic. In great form, Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz put a 1.67 rating and didn't allow the enemies to conquer even one point on the half. Astralis closed Ancient with a 16:7 score.

Inferno began with Heroic playing for their lives in IEM Cologne 2023. CadiaN helped the team start the map with four rounds, but soon Astralis, on the CT side, entered the game and by the end of the half, reduced the disadvantage to the minimum 7:8 score.
In the last half, Buzz started to shine and opened a lot of space to Astralis on the T side. They won the first few rounds and stopped Heroic from getting more than one round in a row. They got the matchpoint earlier and didn't give CadiaN's team a chance to come back in the map.
