These teams have built up a rivalry legacy throughout the first half of 2025. Vitality dominated a lot, but MOUZ got their big revenge recently. What’s the next chapter in this epic competition?

They meet again, and this match certainly feels like the grand final. Both Team Vitality and MOUZ are the favorites at Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) BLAST Open Fall 2025 in London. The teams play in the semifinal, and the community’s eyes are fixed on this battle.

MOUZ and Vitality enter this match with different backgrounds, but sure, they want this win so badly. MOUZ needs a top-level tournament victory! The team was #1 at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, with no Vitality and some other big teams at the event. Their most recent really big win was ESL Pro League Season 19 in 2024.

Team Vitality won every tournament they participated in during the first half of 2025. That mind-blowing streak is long gone, though, as Vitality could not reach the top of the three big tournaments of this season. The team certainly wants to regain their glory and lift the trophy at BLAST Open London 2025.

There is a personal rivalry here. Vitality was a team that stopped MOUZ from playing in the grand finals and winning events throughout 2025, including at the Austin Major. MOUZ enjoyed their revenge at IEM Cologne 2025. The competitive story continues in this semifinal!

The “soft downfall” of Vitality started with a match versus MOUZ in Cologne, and it feels like it’s over here, in London. Team Vitality won the semifinal in quite a dominant way.

MOUZ had great moments on both maps, like winning an eco on Mirage, and reviving at the end of Inferno. Still, the winning periods of Vitality were longer and stronger.

To the semifinal and beyond! The path of Team Vitality and MOUZ at BLAST Open Fall 2025

The tournament started with online matches of the closed qualifier. The 16 participating teams were divided into two groups to play in double-elimination brackets. MOUZ and Team Vitality got seeded in different groups.

MOUZ

The team had ups and downs. Even their opening match versus Imperial Esports started as a disaster: with 2:13 on Overpass. MOUZ won eventually, delivering 13:4 and 13:7 on Mirage and Nuke.

Facing G2 turned out to be less stressful for MOUZ, as it was 2:0. A mirror score against FURIA threw MOUZ into the quarterfinals, while Vitality skipped this stage, as the #1 team in the group. Still, MOUZ gave quite a fight! On the second map, Mirage, FURIA won only in overtime, 16:14 in their favor.

  • Versus GamerLegion — The opponents took map 2, Inferno. The score was closer this time, 7:13.
  • Versus FaZe — To win here, Vitality had to survive two tense overtimes. It was 17:19 in favor of FaZe on Mirage and 19:16 in favor of Vitality on Nuke.
