Straight into the Bootcamp after the New years as Virtus.Pro add ICY to their Counter-Strike roster

Virtus.Pro have added another player to their Counter-Strike roster. Kaisar "ICY" Faiznurov joined the squad, previously on Cloud9.

Virtus.Pro add ICY to Counter-Strike roster - takes the Jame Spot

For many years, Jame has been the go-to AWPer on Virtus.Pro. His unique playstyle was effective although not the norm. After the organization benched Jame earlier this year, they have been looking for a replacement. It seems they have found one with Faiznurov. The 19-year-old player is an AWPER and has joined the organization on a long-term contract. He will be a part of Virtus.Pro up until 2028.

ICY recently played for Cloud9 although he was a part of AMKAL before that. The player has been a standout performer despite some mediocre results by the team.

"ICY is a promising player who has already made a name for himself on the international stage," said the Virtus.pro CEO Nikolai Petrossian. “His energy and talent will drive the team to new heights. Signing a long-term contract with Kaisar is part of our strategy to rejuvenate the roster. We are thrilled to welcome him to Virtus.pro and are confident he will help us achieve great success in CS2!"

ICY joins as the primary AWPer but there still remains some confusion about the final roles on the team.

Virtus.Pro’s Counter-Strike roster is as follows:

  • Denis "electroNic" Sharipov
  • Evgenii "FL1T" Lebedev
  • Petr "fame" Bolyshev
  • Timur "FL4MUS" Marev
  • Kaisar "ICY" Faiznurov
  • Pavel "PASHANOJ" Legostaev (coach)
  • Dzhami "Jame" Ali (benched)
  • David "n0rb3r7" Danielyan (benched)

Virtus.pro will next compete in the BLAST Bounty Season 1 that kicks off on January 13. The team will undergo a boot camp before the event in the hopes of seamless assimilation into the team.
