StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 playoffs

The eight teams will play in a single-elimination best-of-three bracket, with the grand finals being a best-of-five. These are teams that have gone through the previous stages (and for one particular team, all three) to get to the playoffs of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025.

Below are the matchups and schedule for the playoffs.

Team Spirit vs Team Falcons

These two teams were both Stage 3 Invites, and both came into this event as the top 2 and 3 teams of Europe.

Despite their similar origins, their paths to the playoffs were quite different. Team Spirit made quick work of their Swiss Stage, demolishing Team Liquid, Faze Clan, and MOUZ for an easy 3-0 match record.

Meanwhile, Team Falcons had losses to B8 and MOUZ, and had to play a do-or-die against G2 to make it to the playoffs.

Will Team Spirit's dominance continue, or will the extra rounds and maps that Team Falcons have under their belt make the difference in this quarterfinal?

Team Vitality vs The MongolZ

Also both Stage 3 invitees, Team Vitality is the top European team in terms of VRS, while The MongolZ is the only Asian team with a Stage 3 invite.

Both teams were 3-1 in the Swiss Stage, winning their advancement matches against NAVI and G2, respectively, to punch their playoff ticket.

The MongolZ is also the only remaining Asian team in the competition, so they are carrying the hopes of an entire region on their backs.

MOUZ vs FaZe Clan

FaZe Clan is a Stage 1 team, meaning they have already played a lot of CS2 to get to the playoffs. In total, they played 443 rounds across 13 maps in this event. They are the only non-Stage 3 invitee in the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 playoffs.

On the other hand, MOUZ is a Stage 3 invitee. Their only loss so far in this event is against Team Spirit. Their wins were against PARIVISION, B8, and Team Falcons.

FURIA vs Natus Vincere

FURIA is the only remaining Americas team in this event. They were a Stage 3 invitee, same with NAVI. However, what sets this matchup apart from the other quarterfinals in the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 playoffs is the fact that the two teams have already met each other in the first round of Swiss Stage 3.

Granted, this was a best-of-one, but FURIA still dominated NAVI on Nuke and wiped the floor with them with a 13:2 win. This involved a 12-0 half from FURIA. Will NAVI be able to get revenge?
