Eight teams will go directly to the elimination stage following the updated rankings.
After several weeks of intense action during the Regional Major Rankings, we now have the final teams for the PGL Copenhagen Major. And with it, we also have our opening matches for the Major that kicks off later this month. Here are the initial amtchups for the PGL Copenhagen Major as well as a brief rundown on the format.
Copenhagen CS2 Major Opening Matchups
Here are the Copenhagen Major opening matches that start on March 17, 2024:
- Cloud9 vs ECSTATIC
- Eternal Fire vs MongolZ
- ENCE vs Imperial
- Apeks vs paiN
- Heroic vs LVG
- 9Pandas vs AMKAL
- SAW vs KOI
- FURIA vs Legacy
The CS2 Major features 24 teams out of which 16 will take part in the opening stage. These teams play each other in a Swiss System format where all elimination and advancement matches are best-of-three series. All other matches are best-of-one.
Only the top eight teams will advance to the next stage. The bottom eight teams are elimination. The top eight teams will go on to the elimination stage where they will face off against the Elimination Stage invites. The eight elimination stage invitees are as follows:

- MOUZ
- Complexity
- Virtus.Pro
- Natus Vincere
