Great T-side halves pave the way for NAVI to beat G2 at BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 cover image

NAVI outclassed G2 with powerful T-side showings on both maps of the series.

NAVI are the first team through the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 semifinals as they comfortably defeated G2 in Group A's winners' match on Sept. 26.

The squad led by Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen made quick work of G2 and won the series 2-0, confirming the predictions. NAVI have been hot on their reels lately and even won ESL Pro League Season 20, while G2 are still trying to find their groove under Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski's leadership.

Read on for everything to know about the NAVI vs G2 match at BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024.

Dust 2 recap

G2 enjoyed a flying start on Dust 2 and were leading by 8-1 at some point due to a strong T-side. It seemed like the game was under their control even though the first half finished 8-4 and NAVI started to build some confidence.

However, once NAVI switched to the T-side, they put on a nearly flawless exhibition and conceded only one round to G2's defense. Aleksib managed to make the right calls the entire time, alternating between a methodic long control to plant on the A bombsite and great B-site splits. It also helped that Ihor "w0nderful" Zhdanov was getting multikills left and right as the stats show.

w0nderful finished with over 125 average damage per round (Image via <a href="https://www.hltv.org/matches/2375770/natus-vincere-vs-g2-blast-premier-fall-final-2024" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">HLTV</a>)

Ancient

NAVI simply carried on all of the momentum from Dust 2 and completely annihilated G2 from the very beginning. There was nothing that Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov and co. could do to slow NAVI down as they were getting lots of openings and executing in the right bombsite.

After a powerful 9-3 T-side half, a brilliant pistol round from Mihai "iM" Ivan practically sealed the deal for NAVI as G2 had almost no rounds left to spare.

Any chance that G2 had to pull a comeback were frustrated by an ice-cold clutch from Valerij "b1t" Vakhovsjkyj in an eco round.

Although G2 showed some interesting T-side rounds at the end of the match, NAVI eventually closed the map.

When do G2 and NAVI play again at BLAST Premier Fall Final?

G2 will play in the quarterfinals on Sept. 27 against the winner of Astralis versus Team Spirit. NAVI, on the other hand, return to the server on Sept. 28.
