Team Vitality went in search of yet another Counter-Strike 2 grand final appearance as they took on MOUZ at IEM Cologne 2025.
With the penultimate day of IEM Cologne 2025 came the semi-finals, as MOUZ and Team Vitality battled for a grand final spot. As expected, Vitality were untouchable through the Group Stage, not dropping a single game. MOUZ already had a close call against FURIA during the quarterfinals. Having met on multiple occasions throughout the year, MOUZ had yet to manage a series victory over Vitality in 2025. With a spot in the grand finals on the line at the Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2025, this was a great chance for MOUZ to finally make a stand.
MOUZ topple Team Vitality at IEM Cologne

It was an intense first map between the best and second-best teams in Counter-Strike 2 in the world. It was expected to be a solid win for Vitality, as they went in search of yet another grand final appearance. However, after a great first half on the Counter-Terrorist was not enough. MOUZ made an amazing comeback on the CT side to take a magnificent 13-9 win. Not even the cool head of Robin 'ropz' Kool was enough to stop MOUZ taking the first map.

Heading into Train for the second map as MOUZ looked to cause a massive upset over Team Vitality at IEM Cologne 2025. Ahead at the switch, MOUZ were able to put a massive dampener on the Vitality faithful. As it got to a nail-biting finish, MOUZ locked in and managed to finally take their first series win over Vitality since IEM Rio 2024.
For the first time since IEM Katowice 2025, Vitality would not be making it to the grand finals or winning a CS2 tournament. MOUZ, on the other hand, would get to try their hand at becoming champions of IEM Cologne, having destroyed Team Vitality.
