Complexity will next face off against Falcons in the match

The BLAST Premier Fall Showdown is on in full swing with teams competing in a brutal single-elimination format. At stake is some prize money, but also an opportunity to qualify for the Fall Finals. Complexity’s first match of the event was against Metizport. While they had a relatively easy time navigating through the first map, the second map was too close for comfort.

Complexity ease past Metizport

Coming into the series Complexity were always the favorites. The team has had some decent showings, however, not all of their performances have translated into good results. Finishing 9-12th at IEM Cologne, Complexity would face off against Metizport in their opening match of BLAST Premier Fall Showdown.

Ancient was a very one-sided affair with Complexity completely dominating the CT side of the map. The 9-3 start to the CT meant there was nothing much for Metizport to do. They had very few opportunities to make mistakes and the few they did, were quickly capitalized on by Complexity.

The second map of Vertigo was much more close even though it was Complexity’s map of choice. A evenly split 6-6 half meant Metizport were still in the game at half-time. The second half seemed like it was a repeat of the first half with yet another 6-6 half. Ultimately, Complexity fixed their gameplay and won all rounds in Overtime to secure the map with a 16-12 score.

With 51 frags to his name, Elige led the team from the front. Complexity have no opportunities to make mistakes. The BLAST Premier Fall Showdown has a single-elimination format and it means that teams have no second chances.

The BLAST Premier Fall Showdown features some of the best teams in the world. The tournament kicked off with 16 teams and will have two teams going to the Fall Finals. Complexity took their victory over Metizport and will now face off against Team Falcons in the second round.
