Falcons got their revenge and are through BetBoom Dacha playoffs.
Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen and Falcons got revenge against 9z at BetBoom Dacha CS2 2024 on Monday, Aug. 26, and became the second team from the play-in to reach the playoffs.
Unlike their first game in the competition, which 9z won by 2-1, this time around Falcons came back in the first map Dust 2 (2-7 to 13-9) and breeze past the South Americans on Mirage (13-1).
Esports.gg got a hold of dupreeh after Falcons eliminated 9z from BetBoom Dacha, and asked the five-time Major champion how were their preparation for the game and their goals in the playoffs, which will feature bigger teams in the form of Team Spirit and MOUZ.

All the maps today were the same as the last match against 9z. Did you think they'd pick Mirage again?
"Yes, we did because even though we got a good start last time, we were 5-1 up, they had a really good idea of how to play against us and won the map. So, we prepared for Mirage and I also think they were prepared for us to pick Dust 2. So I think both teams knew that they had to change something today."

Was there a lot of anti-stratting involved on Mirage this time around?
"No, not really actually. It was like more our own philosophy around the map. We know we need to be proactive all the time, we need to make moves, we need to go and try to get kills, so we just don't sit and wait for them to do everything. I think that worked out and we also played much better individually today, it's easier when one of us enters a site and gets a double kill, and we had some pretty good reads too."
Now that Falcons have reached playoffs, what is the next goal here at BetBoom Dacha?
"The same as in the play-in, take one game at a time. I think this is probably the best winning streak we ever got in Falcons. So it feels good to finally feel like we can also win. Now the opponents are going to be better on paper, we got a lot of good teams joining the playoffs, so it's going to be nice to try and play against them all well. I think with the way we're playing right now, we can compete with them all."
