Four Teams made it directly through to the quarterfinals.

After several weeks of competitive play, the ESL Pro League Season 20 is down to the last few days of competition. Only half the teams remain and they no longer have the luxury of making any mistakes. That’s because the ESL Pro League Season 20 playoffs has a single-elimination format - and any team that loses a series is out of the event.

Final

Four teams made it directly to the quarterfinals after some spectacular performances through the group stage. Team Vitality, M80, G2 esports, and Natus Vincere have all made it to the Quarterfinals of the tournament. In the Round of 12, we have Eternal Fire, MIBR, Team Liquid, and Imperial Esports.

The remaining eight teams will compete in the Ro16. The eight teams in the RO16 are as follows:

  • BIG
  • The MongolZ
  • Virtus.Pro
  • HEROIC
  • FaZe Clan
  • Complexity
  • Team Spirit
  • FURIA Esports

These eight teams will play in an elimination match. Here are the match-ups for the quarterfinals:

  • BIG vs The MongolZ
  • Virtus.Pro vs HEROIC
  • FaZe Clan vs Complexity
  • Team Spirit vs FURIA Esports

Meanwhile, NAVI went undefeated in Group A after three 2-0 victories over Lynn Vision, NiP and Eternal Fire. G2 faltered a bit when they lost a map to 3DMAX. But they still won the series with a dominating Nuke performance. They then eased past MIBR to secure the top spot. M80 comes as the surprise pack in the quarterfinals. From Group D, Team Vitality’s top spot comes as no surprise. Team Vitality will face off against either BIG, The MongolZ, or Eternal Fire. However, one of the most interesting potential matchups would be G2 Esports taking on M80 in the Quarterfinals. However, Team Liquid will face off against the winner of FaZe Clan and Complexity - easily one of the most interesting paths through the Playoffs.

The ESL Pro League Season 20 started off with 32 teams and is now down to the Playoffs. The Playoffs include 16 teams with a few making it past the initial stages straight into the RO12 as well as the Quarterfinals. Their position in the Playoffs is determined by their performance through the group stage. The Playoffs are a single-elimination format, which means teams cannot afford to make any mistakes. All matches are best of three series and Counter-Strike fans can catch all the action live on Twitch
