From the return to Counter-Strike esports and up to announcing the final player, 100 Thieves was in the middle of the community’s attention. Now, the roster is complete for 2026, and we will expect 100T to shine on the server, not only on socials.
Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz departed from Astralis at the end of 2025. It was officially revealed that another CS2 esports organization acquired the legendary player, but its name was kept secret. At the start of 2026, the mystery was solved, and the rumours proved to be right: dev1ce joins 100 Thieves.
The new roster includes two seasoned veterans: Håvard “rain” Nygaard was announced earlier, and it should be a blast seeing him playing with dev1ce. Also, 100 Thieves signed three young players. This feels like a nice step: building a basis for the future instead of having a retirement house for celebrities.
One of the most exciting aspects of the current version of CS2 100 Thieves is that a former teammate of dev1ce, Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander, is coaching this new roster. This transition is huge! gla1ve should unveil something awesome with rain and dev1ce — they start grinding for a VRS ranking from scratch.
100 Thieves signs dev1ce: Exciting, still doubtful
He is a 4-time Major winner and one of the legendary Astralis players. dev1ce has certainly earned his place among the greatest in Counter-Strike esports. In this regard, his transfer to 100 Thieves is absolutely great.
For the team, it’s a chance to build their new legacy. The guy has enough experience to form a synergy within this new roster and push the organization to big international events. Also, 100 Thieves bought themselves a big name to be talked about in the esports press and in the CS2 community. Everyone wants to know what dev1ce can do after such a step in his late career.
The doubtful part is based on the results and performance drop for dev1ce in recent years. He did not shine in CS2. According to hltv.org, his rating was 1.07 in 2025, which is not too impressive.
Despite having great moments here and there, dev1ce looked rather like a pale version of himself — specifically, at the Budapest Major. In one of the interviews, the player revealed a lack of motivation even to practice.
Did the organizational issues within Astralis cause this drop, or is it a reflection of his current form? The CS2 2026 season with 100 Thieves should give us an answer and probably hint at dev1ce’s future in pro esports.
Bound for Astralis?
Throughout his splendid career, dev1ce had not switched teams too much. He played for a few smaller organizations ahead of Astralis. Then, there was the legendary period of glory and achievements.
After it, dev1ce tried to reach the top with Ninjas in Pyjamas. He was in the top 8 at some big tournaments, including PGL Major Stockholm 2021.
dev1ce returned to Astralis in 2022. Only one Major has happened for him since then, in Budapest. The team looked pretty strong at IEM Chengdu 2025, but generally, the results were an emotional rollercoaster for Astralis fans.

The full roster of CS2 100 Thieves: Three younger players with two experienced uncles
100 Thieves did not follow the path of forming an all-star roster. dev1ce and rain have three younger players by their side.
- William "sirah" Kjærsgaard played for ECSTATIC in 2025, which means an experience in tier 2 and 3 tournaments.
- Alex "poiii" Nyholm Sundgren was in the teams EYEBALLERS and Alliance in 2024 and 2025, with no tier 1 presence.
- André "Ag1l" Gil enjoyed some success within his previous team, SAW: the top 3 at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025.
For gla1ve, this 100 Thieves roster is a great challenge. dev1ce with rain must direct the younger generation to create a proper team.
While we still should be cautious about predicting any results for CS2 100 Thieves, it’s worth following their matches on esports betting platforms. Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev took a similar step by signing with a smaller team. In 2026, his new organization, BC.Game Esports, plays at IEM Katowice from Jan. 28 to Feb. 8.
