The Shanghai Major will feature 24 teams from Europe, Americas, and APAC fighting for their share of the $1.25 million prize pool.

Twenty-four CS2 teams from all over the world will attend the $1.25 million Perfect World Shanghai Major, which kicks off on Nov. 30.

The Americas will have seven teams in the Perfect World Shanghai Major, and the Asia–Pacific (APAC) will have three squads. The rest of Shanghai Major list will be fulfilled with teams hailing from Europe.

The Europe RMR A and B will see 14 teams advance to the final Valve-sponsored CS2 tournament of the year.

The Opening Stage of the Perfect World Shanghai Major will feature a mix of 16 teams from Europe, Americas, and APAC. The best eight will advance to the Elimination Stage, where the top eight teams from Europe will be awaiting.

Both of these stages use the Swiss system. In this format teams must win three to advance or lose three to be knocked out. All advancement and elimination games are best-of-three series, while the first matches are best-of-ones.

From there, the top eight teams from the Elimination Stage will advance to the single-elimination playoffs. All playoff matches are best-of-threes, including the grand finals.
