Complexity part ways with EliGE shortly after terminating Floppy’s contract earlier this year.

Complexity has parted ways with their star rifle, Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski. EliGE has been a part of Complexity for almost one and a half years as he first joined the squad in June 2023.

Complexity part ways with EliGE

EliGE has been with the team for nearly 18 months, however, the team has not achieved good results with him on the roster. Complexity finished almost at the bottom at the recently concluded Perfect World Shanghai Major. A 17-19th place finish, losing to BIG, saw them take home $10,000 in prize money.

Complexity also recently parted ways with Floppy at the start of the new year. The organization had previously moved the player to inactive role in December. But with the start of the new year, they decided to terminate his contract, allowing him freedom to search for new opportunities.

EliGE’s departure from the organization does not come as a surprise as Jason Lake had almost confirmed they are looking to find EliGE a new home. In an interview with HLTV, Jason Lake had high praise for the player.

"We had a meeting, right here in my office," Jason Lake said to HLTV. "I want what's best for him. He's at the stage in his career where he's really peaking, his biological clock is ticking.”

Despite Complexity’s lack of results, EliGE continued to shine on an individual level. With a 1.20 rating, EliGE was one of the top players in the world. He was instrumental in ensuring the team’s results, although the squad would often falter against the higher-ranked rosters.

Complexity have mostly finished outside the top eight in most of the tournaments they attended. Despite being a regional powerhouse, the lack of strong contenders in the North American region meant the team had an upper ceiling they could improve. Their best performance this year was the ESL Pro League Season 19 where they finished 3-4th. EliGE secured the EVP for that tournament proving his contribution to the team’s success.

What is Complexity’s Counter-Strike roster?

Complexity’s Counter-Strike roster is now:

  • Michael "Grim" Wince
  • Johnny "JT" Theodosiou
  • Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli
  • Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen (coach)

Although there are reports that Complexity has found new replacements for both Floppy and EliGE, they have not announced the new signings just yet. We will update this article with more information when it becomes available.
