Cloud9 Join Heroic as the first two teams to qualify for the Elimination Stage from the groups
It was an opportunity for either Cloud9 or SAW to secure their spot in the next stage at the Copenhagen Major. Both teams had already secured their best-of-one victories and were facing each other for a spot in the elimination stage.
Cloud9 vs SAW live score
Team 1 | Team 2 | Map 1 | Map 2 | Map 3 | Score |

Cloud9 | SAW | Nuke (19-17) | Anubis (13-9) | Ancient | 2-0 |
What happened during the match?
Electronic and perfecto had a splendid performance on Nuke catapulting Cloud9 to victory. The duo were able to hold down their portions of the map essentially choking SAW to certain zones.
With 29 and 27 kills apiece, the duo had more frags than anyone else on the server. At the same time, it was a constant battle for both teams. SAW won the first three rounds before Cloud9 managed to pull back with 7 of the remaining nine rounds in the half. On the second half, there were bouts of struggle. This time, Cloud9 on the first three rounds before SAW put their guns up and brought together seven straight rounds of their own. The map eventually went into overtime, where it was a very close battle. The teams fought through four overtimes to finally see Cloud9 emerge as the victors.
The second map of Anubis was a very T-sided affair. Boombi4 came clutch in many situations partly due to this positioning and understanding of the enemy's movements. With 22 kills and a KAST of 81.8% Boombi4's positioning was crucial in supplementing his performance.
SAW had players struggle to keep up with the Cloud9 firepower. There were moments of brilliance but quite often, it was simply not enough.
With this victory, Cloud9 advance to the elimination stage. SAW will still have time and only need one more victory to secure their spot. But with the PGL CS2 Copenhgaen Major group stage unravelling it might be a tough task for SAW to win another best-of-three against stronger opponents.
