Roman shuts out FaZe with a 1v3

SAW was a massive underdog coming into the Spring Finals. And going up against FaZe in the opener meant the team barely got a look into the tournament.

However, the individuals still showed up throughout. They may not have taken a win at the event, but this clutch from Ricardo 'roman' Oliveira reminded everyone just how the Portuguese squad had qualified over Liquid and Cloud9.

TaZ clutches out in his Spring Finals debut

G2's roster instability was their biggest concern going into the Spring Finals. With their superstar sniper being sidelined from the first match over visa issues, it was up to coach Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas to fill those shoes. And fill those shoes, he did.

Not only did he already have some solid highlights in the first map, but TaZ went head to head with Dmitriy "sh1ro" Sokolov to open Dust2. With three frags and a 1v1 against the Russian sniper, TaZ showed that 38 is still just a number.

m0NESY and nexa lock in a G2 win

We've got another play from G2 up next. Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov was back on the server for the second game. And that put all the pressure on the young superstar.

With Nemanja "nexa" Isaković alongside him, the duo kept Vitality at bay and locked in a map win for the team. What's incredible here is the sheer amount of skill m0NESY shows by snatching two frags from a tough position.

flameZ kicks off Dust2 in style

Shahar "flameZ" Shushan was one of the revelations of the tournament. There's no doubt he's a skilled player, but he hasn't always been able to show it on Vitality so far.

In this event, however, he was the absolute shining light in Vitality's less-than-ideal showing. In their semi-final game against Team Spirit, the Israeli rifler pulled off a stunning Glock triple to start things off on Dust2.

sh1ro takes an assist from the Bomb Timer

Sometimes, even the best players could do with some help. And for sh1ro, that helping hand came from the C4 itself. sh1ro was having one of his incredible rifle rounds.

Standing in Cave on Ancient, he quickly knocked the head off of two VP players and then wall-banged a third. That's when he realized James was on the defuse and had to be stopped. Rushing out, he managed to distract Jame just long enough to edge out the round.

ropz's many clutches at the Spring Finals

Robin "ropz" Kool is one of the most clutch players in the game. The absolute focus he plays with is a testament to his training and dedication.

And that means he feels in control when he's in a 1vX. Like Neo, he makes the perfect decisions time after time to secure wins. That was at full display with his clutches at the Spring Finals.

First up, we had ropz responding to a gorgeous Spinx spray down. With FaZe yet to score a single round, the pressure was on ropz to bail his team out before Vitality's lead grew out of control. And that's what he did, with a clutch where the Estonian prioritized duels over going for a bomb plant, securing a win.

The next clutch sees ropz partnering up with Rain to pull out a 2v5. Down by five rounds, ropz opens up the site through Apartments while rain takes a flying stunner onto flameZ. The two then secure the bomb plant, before rain is left in a 1v1 against ZywOo where he takes FaZe's 5th.

Vitality gets absolutely smoked in this Spring Finals clutch

nexa took the sniper to a 2v4 win, but Nemanja “huNter” Kovač managed to do one better. With three AK kills of his own and two from m0NESY's AWP, the two managed to continue G2's dominance. That was despite the whole A site being covered in smoke.

fame annihilates Vitality to win Dust2

The Clutch of the Tournament. Round 24 of Dust2 has a resurgent VP looking to take the map right from under Vitality's nose. But with a great defense on the A site, Vitality nearly secured it.

3v1 against a weakened fame. Surely Vitality can't possibly lose this, and are already thinking about OT now. Well you know what they say about counting your chickens before they hatch.

BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2024 showcased some unforgettable clutches, from Roman's incredible 1v3 against FaZe to fame's spectacular Dust2 play. These plays just remind us that these athletes really are that much more skilled than us mere mortals.
