It’s always hard for Vitality when only ZwyOo is the one consistently getting frags.

Team Spirit are through the BLAST Premier World Final playoffs following a 2-0 victory against Vitality on Oct. 30, the tournament's first day.

Spirit will play against G2 tomorrow, Oct. 31, to decide who moves directly to the semifinals. Vitality, the reigning champions of the BLAST Premier World Final, are on the brink of elimination this time around.

It was always going to be a tough match for Vitality, considering that Audric "JACKZ" Jug is replacing their official anchor William "mezii" Meriman for this tournament. They'll have to defeat Liquid tomorrow to avoid an early elimination.

Here are the lineups, map veto, and recap for Vitality vs Spirit at BLAST Premier World Final 2024 in Singapore.

Anubis recap (Spirit 13-9 Vitality)

Vitality did well in the first half playing on the T-side, which is clearly stronger on Anubis. JACKZ surprisingly top-fragged for them, and the French-Israeli team m won by 7-5.

However, when Spirit switched to the T-side, they put on a complete masterclass. Vitality tried to stop the bleeding with aggression, but Spirit was ready for it in nearly all rounds. That showed up on the scoreboard as Spirit only conceded two rounds to Vitality and ran away with a 13-9 victory.

Although donk got an ace in the first half, it was sh1ro who got the most frags throughout the game, topping the scoreboard with 21 kills.

Mirage recap (Spirit 13-11 Vitality)

Vitality put more of a fight on Mirage in comparison to what we saw on Anubis, but once again, almost everybody but ZywOo struggled to get some frags on the board. The French AWPer got 22 kills, just one less than donk, but it wasn't enough to carry them to overtime or win the match.

And, to be fair with the Vitality players, there's only so much you can do when donk is feeling the game. The youngster wide-swung in mid several times and kept getting openings for his team. Curiously, the best highlight of the match didn't come from donk, but from apEX. After all, there are only a few things that top off a one-deag fadeaway.

Although that one-versus-one clutch was beautiful, it didn't prevented Spirit from winning the game in the final round of regulation as they secured great post-plant positions on the B bombsite and won a three-versus-four fight.
