Glaive has come to an agreement with a new organization the announcement revealed.
One of the names synonymous with the dominant Astralis roster Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander is parting with the org. The announcement came today from the Danish org’s social media account marking the end of an illustrious partnership. This partnership changed the way Valve’s FPS title is played and the team had the most dominant run in the game’s history.
Astralis part ways with Glaive
With 4 Majors, an endless string of tournament wins, as the captain of the team holding the longest run on top of the world rankings, and being one of those who forever changed the way CS:GO was played, there is good reason why Lukas Rossander is called the best in-game leader ever.
Among the fans, in the team and in the organization, Lukas has always had a special place, as a culture bearer in the creation of the first Danish Major winners, as the man who riled up the fans in difficult periods and as one of those who always went to the front in triumph and defeat.
Lukas, you will forever be a part of Astralis, the Astralis Family and the Astralis history as one of the greatest ever. On behalf of everyone at Astralis, we wish you all the best in the future.
Thank you for everything, Maestro!

A long collaboration comes to an end
"The last 7 years have been a life-changing journey. I will always remember Astralis as the greatest team I've ever had the honor of playing for. A family that has always been there for me, the fans, the team working behind the scenes day and night, and of course all my teammates with whom I've shared blood, sweat, and tears with throughout the years,"
Glaive joined Astralis in 2016 after spending a couple of months on Team Heroic. He had a group of very talented individuals in the team that dominated the CS:GO landscape. However, it was his leadership skills that made the team one of the best in the world. Under his captaincy, Astralis secured four Major victories and countless tournament wins holding the top-ranking spot for the longest time.
Earlier this year, however, he moved to the team bench, allowing Astralis to reinvent itself with other players. He has been on the sidelines for nearly five months now, and this is his opportunity to showcase his playing skills on another team.
Glaive will join a new organization soon although it's still not announced where his next destination is.
