Several of the Northeast’s top collegiate Fortnite players partook in the NickEh30 Collegiate Invitational. Here are the best moments.

The NickEh30 Collegiate Invitational featuring Fortnite provided NA East’s top college competitors the chance to prove themselves. In coordination with eFuse and CCA, Twitch’s favorite family-friendly streamer handled hosting and co-casting duties for several talented Fortnite duos.

Overall, each pair had the task of compiling points based on placement and eliminations in Zero Build mode.

Participating teams were competing for not only the NickEh30 Fortnite Collegiate Invitational crown but also a share of $5,000.

The tournament produced some incredible moments as teams battled across five games. Let’s look at some of the highlights from the intense action!

Close Calls

Sap nearly steals victory

In the penultimate match, eventual Collegiate Invitational winners SapGames and capodona went nuclear with 12 eliminations. Furthermore, SapGames was mere moments away from clutching a challenging 1v2 situation. This effort alone set them apart from the field and they made it look easy.

Capodona makes a brilliant escape in game 5

Capodona and SabGames continued their impressive streak one game later. This time, capodona escaped a sticky situation with only 32 health remaining. He utilized Shockwave Grenades to evade multiple enemies and even knocked an enemy.

FrostyFly & BAZ clutch second place

In the final match, FrostyFly and BAZ executed a last-ditch effort to Shockwave the high ground team out of their position. While FrostFly ultimately fell to storm damage, BAZ quickly used a Rift-To-Go and finished in second place.

Classic bush strategies work for sebarumma

It’s not often that we see players rely on the traditional Fortnite bush strategy. However, that didn’t stop sebarumma from sending viewers back to the humble year of 2017. In this clip, the player carefully hides in a bush and somehow avoids a truck barreling toward him. Subsequently, he remained alive in game five of the NickEh30 Fortnite Collegiate Invitational to tell the tale.

Zero Build skills

Kuht wins a crucial spawn fight

The eventual fourth-place team of itskuht and Pfluger were responsible for many of the tournament’s best clips. In this one, kuht and Pfluger successfully defended The Daily Bugle thanks to a clutch effort by kuht. He wisely drew the enemy closer and earned two crucial eliminations before reviving his teammate.

Capodona and co clean up game 2

Capodona and SapGames are back with another insane clip from game two. The two players secured their 17th and 18th elimination en route to a dominant effort in game two. Ultimately, they would claim the NickEh30 Fortnite Collegiate Invitational tournament, and this match undoubtedly helped.

Pfluger stops the Shockwave and wins game 3

Tournament host NickEh30 called perhaps one of the most heads-up plays of the day. In the third game, Pfluger thwarted Jayth’s attempt to secure the high-ground advantage. Then, Pfluger and kuht completed a 12-elimination Victory Royale. This was a standout moment for the Fortnite College Invitational fourth-place finishers.

Aimrod uncovers a prime hiding spot

Aimrod mistakenly stumbled upon two eliminations at a gas station in match three. The player revealed two opponents in a great hiding spot. Aimrod fell to the two players, but Jayth came to the rescue and sent both enemies back to the lobby.
