Black Ops 6 will feature the most Multiplayer Maps on release day in the series so far.
The annual Call of Duty release is one of the biggest moments in gaming every year. And with the Black Ops series making its return, this year looks set to be better than ever. The iconic Zombies mode has been getting a lot of love from the developers, with the recent Terminus Intel Drop, but Multiplayer will be bigger than ever. Find out everything you need about the Multiplayer Maps in Black Ops 6.
How many Multiplayer Maps will Black Ops 6 have?
In the Initial Intel: Multiplayer, the developers have released information on how many multiplayer maps the game will feature at launch. According to the blog post, Black Ops 6 will feature 16 multiplayer maps on Day One. These maps will be split across 12 core maps and 4 smaller Strike Maps.
Initial Intel: Multiplayer: Offering a massive amount of content at launch, expect 16 brand new Multiplayer maps on Day One, including 12 Core 6v6 maps and four small-sized Strike maps, the latter of which are unique, stand-alone locations designed to be played in 2v2 or Face Off 6v6 matches.
The Face-Off returns from the Black Ops Cold War. It features game modes like TDM, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint on the smaller, fast-paced maps. This year, the game will also put a further emphasis on movement tech in maps. That goes hand-in-hand with innovations like Omnimovement and Intelligent Movement coming to the game. All that means the game will feature a number of classic locations but with a fresh perspective across the board.

Especially when compared to its direct predecessor, Black Ops Cold War, the game promises an additional 7 maps. That largely is due to the Cold War's focus on Seasonal releases over the years that bumped the map pool up later on.
