How long is the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign?

The Modern Warfare 2 campaign early access is here and Call of Duty players have been trying to grind through it before multiplayer drops next week. But how long do you actually need to complete the Modern Warfare campaign?

Compared to Call of Duty: Vanguard, the MW2 campaign has been met with positive feedback. The characters are more likeable and layered than the one-note ones in Vanguard and the visuals are impressive. On top of that, Call of Duty players have been promised rewards for completing the campaign, making it even more exciting.

It will realistically take everyone a different amount of time to complete the campaign. There are multiple difficulty levels and some people may be hunting for achievements.

But overall, anyone looking to complete the basic campaign can expect it to take around eight hours. It can be cut down to six hours if players skip the cutscenes and are looking to rush through it on the easiest mode.

This length comes as no surprise to Call of Duty fans. Previous titles have campaigns of a similar length. For fans of the series, it's not really about how long the campaign takes but how good the story is. Fans were thrown off when they saw a weapon from a different era in the Vanguard campaign. But the Modern Warfare 2 campaign has been met with a lot more excitement thus far.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer is coming out on October 28.

This means that CoD players have a week to complete the campaign mode ahead of the multiplayer grind.
